Beautiful place with some labeled vegan options - Edit
Easy ordering with many labeled vegan and vegetarian options. Enjoyed the lentil soup and the falafel sandwich. An excellent meal enjoying the evening light on the outdoor patio.

Beautiful location-Erie Canal - Edit
They have a porch overlooking The Erie canal. It’s a really beautiful location. I found the food inconsistent. Sometimes it is not cooked all the way and sometimes they do a great job. Even though this is a chain. There are different menus at different locations in Rochester. This location tends to have less items compared to their location on Monroe ave.

Lenchili is SO good! - Edit
This place is delicious. A little pricey but the portions are huge. Staff is knowledgeable about vegan options and modifications. Falafel is tasty and not greasy. Spinach linguine is outstanding and flavorful. Salads are huge and fresh. The Lenchili (half lentil soup / half chili) is so good / and I can’t replicate it no matter what I do! The outdoor seating is great and right alongside the canal. We always stop here when visiting the in-laws.

Great Mediterranean Food - Edit
We have been going to Aladdin’s for over 20years. They have all sorts of Lebanese and Mediterranean food, but we love the Veggie Chili and Lentil soups. Low price and very filling
Read moreOur standard, though, is the Falafel Pita Pocket. It is a huge pita stuffed with a whole salad and a few falafels on the side. The tatziki sauce is vegan! A huge meal. You may try to hold it in your hands but eventually it will fall apart and you will have to eat it with a fork.
Another favorite is the Tourlou which is a stew of zucchini and eggplant and tomatoes served over either noodles or coups cous.
There is also an appetizer plate that has your choice of dolmades (“hold the feta, please”) and Baba Ganoush and hummus and tourlou. Mmmm
Pros: reliably delicious food, friendly folks, relatively inexpensive
