Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian curry restaurant located at a short walk from Beppu station and Takegawara onsen. Menu shows a few vegan-friendly curries, but make sure to say no cream on top. Uses Japanese short grain rice. Note that all naan contain egg. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-9:30pm. Closing on Monday

A seriously satisfying meal - Edit
Amazingly accomodating, understood exactly what vegan meant and assured us of such. Wait time was super quick and the food was delicious.

Glad to Find This Spot in Beppu 🍛 - Edit
It was hard to find places to eat in Beppu, so I was really glad to have this option. Everything was pretty good, and it was nice to have vegan choices in a city with limited options.

Great Indian food - Edit
Lots of vegetarian options. We came here twice. The owner speaks English and can tell you what is vegetarian but it's also quite easy to tell from the menu.

Came for lunch and ordered the vegetable curry set. The owner was very friendly and assured that it would be vegan. The curry was tasty and overall a good food spot in Beppu!

Okay lunch for a good price - Edit
🍛 The Vegetable Curry was solid and especially for the price okay. We have asked and there is no dairy used.

‼️Mind that the 🫓 naan might not be vegan and contains egg. We just asked for dairy and have seen the Happy Cow description just afterwards.‼️
🍚 The rice was quite sticky and not like the indian rice you might be used to.
The owners are really kind.

Lot of food, lot of oil - Edit
The place is very typical for an Indian restaurant, pretty colourful but not high-class. Run by a very friendly elderly couple. The food was okay - a pretty tasty curry, good rice. But the curry and especially the naan bread were really oily, we never had so oily naan.
Read moreOn the upside: Sizes of the portions were really generous and the price really reasonabel (we paid 2.800 yen for both dinner sets).
All in all: If you are really hungry and dont want to spend too much money, you could be right in here.

Authentic Indian food - Edit
The food that we ate was so delicious and authentic. It can be hard to find real Indian food, especially vegan, in Japan, so you must come here!
