Perfect late vegan breakfast - Edit
Was so happy to find a plant based eatery on our road trip. The big brekky was super satisfying and got a tofurkey like sausage added. My partner had a chicken and cheese toasted sandwich and coffees. Definitely want to come back here before we go and grab the Mac n cheese burger. Highly recommend!

vegan but not healthy - Edit
we didn't get to try the food cause the staff were too distracted to acknowledge our presence. looking at the menu though it was all vegan, but not much seemed healthy. prob good for people who like mainstream cafe food but want vegan i.e. vegan burgers on bread buns, loads of sugary cakes, fried chips etc. the smashed avo was something we had planned to order but walked out due to lack of attention making ordering process known. if a cafe want you to go to the counter to order they can at least be friendly and come over to the table where you have obviously studied the menu for ten min and let you know the process - instead of deliberately ignoring you whist wanting you to figure that out for yourself.

The latte is the best Iv ever had, Iv been here 3 times, twice to eat, 3rd time was just for a take away latte! The coffee I the same every time!
Staff are lovely highly recommend this cafe

The food at 'A Tad Whimsy' has a very 'home made' feel. The cakes aren't perfect, but have a rustic aesthetic and are very filling.
Read moreIt's not my favourite cafe, because I prefer a slightly more imaginative menu. But it filled me up, and there were lots of options to choose from.

Just what Hobart needs! Really yummy menu with lots of guilty pleasures such as burgers and hot dogs. I had the spicy burger, great flavour. The side salad needed a bit more dressing through. Also had an Oreo doughnut with coconut cream in it, it was lush. I also love how they have vegan magazines to read. Staff were lovely too. Definitely recommend!

A sweet friendly little restaurant serving a great range of satisfying burgers (both mock meat and otherwise) other filling lunches and even simple toasted cheeze and 'ham' sandwiches. They always have a good range of vegan cakes and slices and serve beautiful coffee ❤️

A fully vegan menu with vegetarian options - Edit
A delightful cute little cafe in central Hobart (Mather's Arcade, opposite Myer) that have plenty of reasonably priced vegan food with the option of making it vegetarian if so desired. I had the Chipotle black bean burger which was really quite filling and tasty. They served the burger with extra salad so that was a pleasant surprise. I also took away a piece of coconut raspberry & custard cake - let me tell you it was just divine with just the right amount of sweetness.
