Such a cool place - Edit
This is such a cool concept to have the food and the ice cream and the bakery and everything is vegan!! We tried a bunch of stuff from the menu but didn’t get a chance to get any ice cream because we were too full from the food. The flan is amazing. Portions are big! My only complaint is that I found some things to be too salty, but I am the type of person that frequently finds things to be too salty

Homemade Vegan Whipped Cream!!! - Edit
Everything vegan! Breakfast, lunch and so many dessert options. Great latte with homemade vegan whip that was the best. Loved the green cilantro salad dressing too. The person taking our order was very helpful and friendly. He was knowledgeable about how everything was made and passionate about the business.

Huge portions and great variety - Edit
The meals are super filling and tasty - it’s 100% vegan but a place carnivores would be happy to eat as well. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Amazing !!! - Edit
So many delicious Cuban options! Both savory and sweet! I will be dreaming of this special restaurant from 5 states away. 😢 I had Cuban shrimp platter with the most amazing aioli dressing and my daughter had the same but pork. Insanely tasty.

Also - the desserts! So many choices. They have 6-7 ice cream flavors and desserts that use them. My daughter had the cookie dough hot plate which was cookie dough topped with your choice of ice cream (she chose Vanilla Bean) then topped with diced cookie dough! I had strawberry très lechée cake and it was the best dessert I have had in many years! I also got a guava cheese pastry for later.

Hard to justify price for taste - Edit
I love how this shop is like a 3 in 1 place. You’ve got the food, pastries and ice cream all right there. Regarding the main food, im sure this will definitely be a win for those who love Cuban food. There’s about 10 options, I did a build your own, and got this mock meat and Mac n cheese. The mock meat, was a bit TOO flavored for me, but the Mac n cheese was good. But it was $20 for just those 2 things, which doesn’t sit right with me… I might give this place one more chance, definitely want to try the pastry’s. But overall its too expensive for me.

This is one of those vegan spots you could go to a dozen times and still try something new. Brunch food, Cuban meals, baked goods, ice creams! I’m looking forward to going back next time I’m in Orlando!

Half of the menu is unavailable 🥺 - Edit
This place operates under two names: THE VEGAN SCOOPS and A Lo Vegano. That is why I was so excited to contemplate a spot for vegan Cuban food. However, the reality is that half of the menu is currently unavailable, which left me disappointed. I had a "fish" sandwich (made from battered and deep fried hearts of palm) that was actually quite good; they even prepared it for me on gluten-free bread. But the chips comes with “Fish” sandwich are the teeny tiny chips from a package (not REAL chips) and chocolate ice cream was a total sugar shock for me! SUGAR ATTACK & overdose! Way too sweet for my taste. Next, false advertisement on the menu, the real meal doesn’t look anything like shown on the menu. Last but not least, be prepared to wait for 55 mins or longer for your food. Slow service it seems like.

Delicious comfort food. The staff is always so friendly and warm. We ordered a ton, but the guava pancakes were the star. We came in the morning so we didn’t have a long wait!

First time I had a vegan breakfast in the afternoon. Great scrambled vegan eggs. Ham and cheese with sausage and garlic toast. Very good. They also offer a variety of Cuban dishes all of which are vegan. Best restaurant I have found in Florida.

Good things come to those who wait - Edit
Chill vibes and friendly service, but come with friends to enjoy while you wait, I clocked the time from ordering at the kiosk to getting my plate at 48 minutes, the over medium fried egg was excellent, nice sausage and Cuban toast, at nearly $20 it was a splurge, but it's a treat, it'd be great if the prices could be a little more economical and service could be quicker

I ordered the same thing you did and didn't wait long for it. And I've ordered at other times with other items but didn't wait long.

5 stars is not enough. - Edit
The ambiance was great. Their service was really good. But the food was spectacular. This food made me rethink my rating system. The pancakes were light and fluffy and tasted like a subtle cinnamon roll. The breakfast croissant was flaky and the cheese, sausage, and egg were hot and delicious. It's difficult to describe vegan food sometimes because you're trying to describe food that is similar to what you ate before going vegan. Not here, the food tastes like what you order. I recommend this for vegans and for their non vegan friends.

Mid for now imo - Edit
I wanted to love this place but the price for a platter $25 is way too much for homemade latin food. You can find it way more cheaper in latin restaurants. The ice cream we bought was tasty but also overpriced same with the blueberry cheesecake that was $11 a slice!! I never pay that much going out to eat😒i wanted to eat their cuban sandwich but they didn't had it so i left with the desserts only.

Food Slapped.. 😋 - Edit
In spite of being sold out of a few things that we came to try, this place banged and we will 💯% be coming back!!
Read moreAt first I thought that the offerings weren't for me as the mains tend to be mushroom based and we aren't fans 🍄 BUT how wrong were we!!🤯🤯🤯 You could not tell at all that the mock meats had been made using mushroom, and were by far some of the best we've ever had, then couple that with the sides and flavours and this place is a complete recipe..🙌
An absolute must for anyone (vegan or not) in the area craving flavour and open to something a little new.. 🎯
Pros: Flavours, Textures, Variety
Cons: Sold out of a few things, No menus/all online or on computer

Massive Mash - Edit
I thought it was odd there was separate ordering for A Lo Vegano and Vegan Scoops even though they had the same location. We ordered food at the kiosk, but my partner had to order a coffee from the employee. The employee kept asking questions about making the coffee. I assume they were trying to be pleasing, but the indecisiveness was annoying.
Read moreThe mushroom-based steak was topped with chimichurri sauce. The huge portion of malanga and potatoes mash was very oily. The grilled asparagus had too much herbs for my preference. I enjoyed the waffle with chocolate chips and strawberries, but I was disappointed the syrup was served in a single-use plastic container. There were also single-use plastic cups for water and disposable cups for coffee.
Pros: all vegan
Cons: single-use plastic, disposable coffee cups, ambience

They are two separate businesses and two separate listings on happycow. Vegan Scoops even has a food truck that attends some vegfests.

best vegan food ever - Edit
i LOVE a lo vegano. every single piece of food i've ever gotten there is amazing! the food is extremely well-seasoned and expertly prepared. you can tell that the chef really knows how to cook. this is probably some of the most flavorful food i've ever had. Not just vegan food, but all food.
Read morei've ordered a few different dishes here, but my favorite is the mac n cheese. that is a must-purchase from this restaurant. out of all vegan mac n cheeses, it ranks top 5 for me. the vegan steak is also an excellent choice. i'm also a big fan of the fried eggs... i might just be a big fan of everything there.
i really love this restaurant and it's even better because you can always get ice cream and vegan treats afterwards at vegan scoops! i would live here if i could.
