Awesome Cafe in the Heart of Dotonbori - Edit
Pivot Base is fantastic! Dotonbori is like a huge shopping area and food Mecca for non-vegan so the fact that there’s this amazing vegan restaurant in the middle of it is pretty awesome. The food is so delicious—we visited twice! The Ramen option I got was so incredibly creamy and rich. The noodles were extremely flavorful and the veggies were just as tasty. I also loved the fried Takoyaki. They have a few different flavors (we sampled all of them) and they bring a house made mayo you can add to it! It’s so good! Everything else we ordered was superb! Everyone here speaks English, and I believe the owner hangs out at the restaurant as well. He’s very kind, as are the servers. This place is 10 out of 10 incredible—we highly recommend it!

Everything is plant based. You can try so many foods that are not typically veggie friendly which is so exciting! They have vegan takoyaki (3 kinds!) ramen, curry… so many things I wanted to try and they also have a decent sized list of non-alcoholic specialty drinks! It was not crowded and you can sit down to eat too. However they only take cards or tap payments. No cash! But it’s labeled very clearly. Also have an English menu and English speaking staff which is a nice option for English speaking ppl with allergies or restrictive diets.

I know this is a “vegan app” so 5 stars for vegans tho! I just need more options bc my partner does not eat veggie or vegan foods so it makes things more complicated for us.

I had the food here 3 times during my stay in Osaka. It was great each time! The staff is so friendly and kind and are curious about where we’re from and how we are enjoying Osaka. The food is fantastic, I recommend the plant-based cutlet and the curry as well. As a vegan traveling in Japan things can be tough but this establishment was a welcome respite!

100% Vegan, aucune attente, service super. J'ai mangé des nouilles au kimchi, avec des takoyaki en plus! J'ai pu aussi goûter aux plats de ceux qui m'ont accompagné car il y a des assiettes en plus pour partager nos plats. Le mapo tofu était très bon ! Délicieux, tout était bien assaisonné et en bonnes quantités.

Great vegan place in Central location - Edit
Nice vegan cafe and bar in the heart of Shinsaibashi shopping strip. You can come here for a meal or just for a drink. We had a good lunch here. The portion sizes were quite good. We ordered the Takoyaki, Yakisoba, Tonkatsu cutlet, mapo eggplant and ramen. All were very good. Loved the cutlet especially. Nice atmosphere. Good service.

Everyone recommends the ramen, but I wanted to try something different. I ordered the curry dish and the cabbage rice bowl with soy protein. The cabbage and soy protein was my favorite—I’d definitely recommend it over the curry.

Fantastic Food and Outstanding Service in Dotonbori! - Edit
We had a fantastic experience at Pivot Base. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was beautifully prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the menu and recommend dishes, which made choosing much easier. Ordering through the QR code on our phones was quick and convenient, allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace without feeling rushed. As a lovely surprise, we even received a stamp for our stamp book before we left. We truly enjoyed our visit and would happily come back the next time we’re in Osaka!

I can’t describe how amazing the food is. I was so excited to try the vegan Takoyaki and it didn’t disappoint, it was delicious. We also order gyoza, ramen, yakasoba and katsu. All the dishes were amazing, lots of flavour and everyone loved them even my non-vegan family. My non-vegan son said it’s been his favourite ramen on our Japan trip so far.

I haven't eaten at a better vegan restaurant ever. Even my family members, who are strict meat-eaters, were absolutely blown away by the ramen soup, the vegan cutlet, the kushikatsu, and the garlic rosemary potatoes—so delicious!

Ordering is super easy right through the app, the staff are exceptionally friendly, and everyone speaks great English. Just keep in mind that they only accept cashless payments.
