Amazing plant based cuisine

I have now gone through the entire menu :-)…my faves include: leek soup, red endive, broccoli risotto, eggplant pasta and chocolate bar. Also loved the mocktail! Highly recommend ~ 5 stars

Beautiful upscale dining

Special occasion or date night, this place is one of our favorites. Exceptional service, creative cuisine and beautiful presentation. We have now tried everything on the menu after a few visits and have enjoyed all of it. The Mocktail is excellent as well.

Plant-forward fine dining in Evanston

This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Evanston! Truly excellent plant-forward fine dining in an intimate atmosphere nestled in the Hilton Orrington building. Our server, Brock, gave enthusiastic recommendations from the menu and was attentive throughout our meal. We enjoyed every dish but especially the leek soup with crispy fried onions and house made croutons, the eggplant rigatoni and the beetroot steak with chimichurrii sauce. We couldn’t resist the chocolate bar dessert topped with pineapple and a passion fruit sauce that was exquisite. This is our new favorite dining spot and we’ll be back soon!

Awesome New Vegan Spot!

17 Plant Based was more of an intimate, ‘fine dining’ experience than a standard vegan restaurant. I loved everything I had including the mocktails and desserts. My first time trying of few of these dishes including lentil rillettes, leek soup and the incredible beet root steak! Will be going back.

And just a heads up, the more people find out about this spot the more you may want to book a reservation in advance.

A little gem of plant based deliciousness

My wife and I sat at the chef’s counter and shared six plates. All were fantastic but highlights included the mushroom polenta, the braised cabbage, and the chickpea curry. We enjoyed the mocktail, but look forward to returning when it’s not dry January so we can explore their creative cocktail menu and well curated wine list. The service was attentive and professional without being overbearing.

Pros: Food, Service, Space
