Good food but you must specify that you want the vegan option - Edit
The food was good and the portions were very large.
Read moreUnfortunately there are several vegan/vegetarian dishes with the same names as non-vegetarian dishes. As we never checked the seafood and meat menu, we ordered the “Fresh Spring Rolls”, listed under vegetarian meals. Unfortunately we received spring rolls containing shrimp and pork and only noticed after we’d eaten some of it.
The owner was very kind and apologetic, but this was still a very unpleasant experience and we feel disgusted at the thought of having eaten flesh.

Popular place with vegan options - Edit
This is a charming and popular, busy place. There are many vegatarian options which are also vegan. The tofu curry was delicious but with extra vegetables it would have been much better. The green salad tasted really well.

Delicious vegan noodle bowls - Edit
The vegan noodle bowl is really delicious. We came back 3x for it during our stay in Phong Nha! One time it came with lots of peanut sauce and another time not so much but if you need more peanut sauce, you can ask for some and they’ll bring more 🤗

Not for me - Edit
The caramel tofu was too salty and too sweet for me. Other people might like it. Super friendly staff and free rice if needed. Also- they don’t use plastic (no bottled water, straws, etc…)

Good enough for vegans - Edit
On the menu there are options for vegans. The food is perfectly fine, but nothing exciting.
Read moreI ordered the cashew tofu, which came with less cashews I would've liked and with pineapple. Well, I don't know about you, but hot pineapple is not something I want to find as a surprise between my veggies. A heads up on the menu would've been great.
We also ordered the fried rice without egg. Still it came with egg. The dude who picked up our order got it for sure right (he repeated our order), so there must've been a misunderstanding in the kitchen.
If you really don't want to find egg in your dish, check check dubbel check or eat somewhere else.

The caramel tofu is very tasty and crunchy. For my taste they could have added some vegetables.

Kind and Friendly - Edit
There is a separate page on the menu for vegetarian dishes, which was helpful. All the dishes on the page appeared vegan, but we still confirmed with the server that everything we ordered was vegan.
Read moreThe caramel tofu was enjoyable! (As expected by the name of the dish, it was very sweet, so probably avoid it if you are trying to limit added sugar.)
The servers were kind and friendly!

Visited twice! - Edit
This was the most veggie-friendly restaurant near to my hostel Central Backpackers, Phong Nha.
Read moreThey have a whole page dedicated to veggie dishes on the menu, most of which looks vegan. On the first night I had the eggplant tatse, which is served with rice. Totally sweet and soft aubergine, full of flavour.
Second night I had the cashew tofu, it has pineapples and veggies, and also comes with rice. This was totally delicious.
I asked about the sorbets on the menu, hoping they’d be vegan, but apparently they contain milk.
Overall a great experience, I only wish for a vegan dessert option.

Great food - Edit
We went there for lunch and got the Caramel Tofu, the spring rolls and the eggplant dish. All of them were pretty good! There is no air conditioning inside but multiple fans against the heat. The staff was friendly as well.
Read moreA good option, but make sure to ask about the dishes which might be vegan/no egg, no milk, as it is not obvious.

Guter Service - Edit

Great tofu, good portion size - Edit
We really enjoyed the caramelised tofu! We also ordered the tofu curry which was quite mild in flavour but tasty nonetheless. The staff were friendly and cheeky (in a good way!), and made a point to us that they had double confirmed with the kitchen that we wanted vegan versions of our food, which was appreciated.

Great Vietnamese vegan options that have their own flair - Edit
Really great atmosphere and food. Really personable staff. I like that the vegan dishes are not “western” but still have their own distinct taste different from normal vietnamese options.
Read moreBest vegan options to me and some other vegans who ate here:
1. Caramel tofu! (Sweet and lemongrassy)
2. Fresh spring rolls (comes with a warm peanut sauce, which I prefer)
3. Curry tofu
4. Orange tofu

Best aubergine - Edit
We went here on the recommendation of our tour guide. Having already been to veggie box we thought we would give it a go. So glad we did!! The aubergine (eggplant) taste was mindblowing...one of the best aubergine dishes we've ever had. Tofu curry also very good. Our whole bill came to 150 dong including beers so very cheap and portions
