Vegetarian Indian restaurant JLT neighborhood. In addition to parathas (cooked in sunflower oil), serves other Indian dishes such as curries. The menu does not mark vegan dishes, so vegans need to ask. Reported closed, Mar 2018.

Yummie! - Edit
This is a nice little joint in the heart of Dubai's JLT area. It's located in the Platinum Tower, right next to the Almas Tower. The owner already runs a few Indian restaurants in Dubai and it shows, because, even though, it's relatively new, service and food were very good when I popped in.
Read moreThe menu is extensive, but unfortunately lacks more detailed English descriptions, i.e. it only lists the Indian names of the dishes. Although, the restaurant says it's "pure vegetarian", it still uses eggs and cheese in some dishes, so vegans should probably check with the friendly staff before ordering.
I ordered two parathas for lunch and could have probably done with one only, because the portions are fairly big. You also get to pick a side dish with every paratha you order.
For take-away or delivery purposes, the food comes in a neat, easy to transport box. Service was fast and friendly, and the food tasted great. It's also very affordable - my two parathas & side dishes came to only AED 30.
I'll pop in again!
Pros: Good value, Great taste, Good portions
Cons: No English descriptions on the menu, Not all dishes are vegan
