Strawberry and Rose Sorbet

4 pounds strawberries
1 pound vegan sugar or maple syrup to taste
4 tablespoon rose water
4 tablespoo lemon juice
A few rose petals to serve (optional)
2 ¼ cup water


Place a saucepan with water over medium heat. Add sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and let cool for a while.

Add strawberries into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the sugar syrup or maple syrup into the blender and blend until smooth. Add rose water and lemon juice and blend again.

Pour into a bowl and chill for a couple of hours.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for 15-20 minutes.
When churned, pour into a freezer safe container and place in the freezer and freeze for a couple of hours.

Scoop and serve.
