I was looking forward to going here, but was a bit disappointed. The food was on the bland side, and our server was not very attentive. Quite pricey for average food. Decor was extremely nice.

I really love this restaurant, and haven't found another like it in my travels. I've been going here from when it first opened to it's tapas style menu. The food is excellent. Service is pretty good. But as the menu warns, it is SLOW FOOD. So prepare to enjoy yourself at the restaurant, and don't stress about any plans after. The brunch is always wonderful. The ambiance and decor fabulous. I would suggest it as a place to take omnivorous friends, as they can see the amazing things that can be done with a vegan kitchen.

Had the garden roll, green papaya salad and pho. The appetizers were good. The noodles in the pho tasted like they had been sitting on the shelf, unsealed for 3 years.
I left hungry as I could only eat a few veggies from the soup.

Not going back
My husband and I visited this restaurant 3 times. Being from a larger city we're used to vegan chinese food and missed it. The veg offerings are a bit limited. We stuck to the veg chicken and duck. The last time we went we ordered the veg dumplings which tasted a bit off, but we were starving at the time so didn't complaing. We got quite sick later, needless to say we will not be returning, which is too bad because it is one of the few restaurants with vegan mock meat in Charlotte.

The decor was so grungy here, I was shocked at how great the food was. I had a vegan pesto with pasta and it was unbelievable. (this was a few years ago, so we can say it was a memorable meal!) Great service, nice staff.

After reading a number of good reviews of The Naam, I went here for brunch with my husband. The food was okay, but as vegans the odour of eggs was quite bothersome. They might benefit from some better ventilation or maybe having a vegan/non-vegan section.
