Easy to find, OK food
Not bowled over by the quality of the food, but it's really easy to find and also has a little stall in the corner selling veggie / vegan food provisions.
Staff are very friendly and speak great English.
The Supreme Master TV isn't all that annoying (maybe they learned a lesson or two by reading Happy Cow reviews!).
I did notice ants crawling over the floor though..

Had a very pleasant meal at Fairy Su's tonight. Fried "beef" slices in mushroom and tomato sauce with white rice. Incredibly good. Together with an orange juice it came to 69 RMB, more than I'd anticipated, but still a price I was more than happy to pay.
The staff were very pleasant and speak good enough English to manage your order. The menu book is quite thick, so you may need some time to "browse".
Really, really easy to find. It's inbetween Beixinqiao and Yonghegong (Lama Temple) stations on line 5 of the subway. Use either of the two stations, heading North from Beixinqiao or South from Yongehong.
More of a cafe environment than restaurant.

Took my meat-eating father here for dinner last night and we both really, really enjoyed our food.
I had the organic sweet and sour "chicken" roti and my dad had a mixed bean roti - both were really tasty and really hearty.
Only slight negatives were that the service was very slow (though we were there at peak time) and after waiting 30 minutes we were told we would need to wait a further 30 minutes for rice, which we'd originally ordered instead of the roti.
Nevertheless, we're looking forward to returning later in our stay in Amsterdam!

Still there, still great!
As a HappyCow reader, I always look at when somebody last reviewed a place as indicator of if the place is still there and operating.
As such, I've got little to add to the other great reviews for this restaurant, but just wanted to confirm that it's still around and serving amazing (and surprisingly cheap) food!
It is a little hard to find, admittedly. You're looking for what looks like an office tower block where the ground floor is given over to eating establishments. The restaurant itself is actually up one floor from ground.
If I had one quibble it would be that my rice only arrived after I was half way through my bean-curd! Other that, no complaints.
