Like the breakfast hot bar...
I love organic grocery stores and this is a great one, but the main reason I like going to Earth Fare is for the hot breakfast bar. My husband and I are vegan and have found many vegan options on the breakfast bar...on the weekend. We recently visited Asheville during the week and found that there are not as many vegan options on the bar on a weekday as on the weekend, specifically vegan biscuits. We asked about them and were told that they are only made on the weekend. But they do usually have vegan sausage and home fries all the time.
The deli does offer some vegan options at lunchtime, such as vegan BBQ tofu. The bakery had vegan chocolate chip cookies the last time we went.
Earth Fare is definitely worth a visit.

Great vegan dining...
My husband and I visit Asheville often and always stop by Laughing Seed for dinner. They have a big menu with a lot of variety. I love their vegan sloppy joe, and my husband likes the harmony bowl. We've tried several items off the menu, and most of it is great. I wasn't a fan of one of their tempeh sandwiches, but I'm not a huge tempeh fan anyway. The hardest thing about eating here is finding a parking spot, and if you go on a weekend night, try to get there early or plan for a little wait. The most we've ever had to wait was 30-40 minutes though. Basically, it's a great atmosphere with great vegan food.

Food is good if you don't mind waiting...
We visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of available tables, but we didn't get someone to seat us for 10 minutes. It took another 10 minutes for someone to take our order. (There was one waitress for 12 tables.) Then, we waited 20-25 minutes to get our food. The food was good; we had falafel wraps, which had vegan tahini sauce. The chips and pico de gallo were good, but the pico was served on top of the chips instead of in a bowl, so the chips were soggy when we got them. The iced tea was terrible. I'm not sure that we'll want to return.

One of our favorite stops in Asheville...
Every time we go to Asheville, we have to go to Rosetta's, sometimes 3 or 4 times in one visit. The food is fantastic and well priced. There is a lot of variety. We especially love the vegan mac and cheese and the smashed potatoes. Our last visit, we tried brunch on Sunday morning, and it was awesome!!! We got the blueberry pancakes, which were two pancakes that were the size of the plate. It is a great place to go for late night dessert too. You do have to bus your own table, but if it helps keep the prices so low, I don't mind at all.
