It had been 18 months since we’d been here and I was keen to see what the place was like now. We came it at peak lunch time and managed to get a seat right away. Glancing at the menu there were two or three standouts for me and we ended up ordering the pulled jackfruit burger $(21) and the tofu benedict ($20.50). The jackfruit, with its delicious garnish of three onion rings, was tasty and reasonably substantial, if (surprise!) just a little sweet for me. The benedict, with its brilliant pink sauce, was just fantastic: tasty, creamy and savoury. I paired the food with a nice dry Pinot Gris ($11.50), which went down a treat. Prices are at the high end of reasonable for an inner-city cafe.
