After frequenting the favorite local vegetarian restaurant, we really wanted a bar option and luckily found Copper Creek. We only intended to get drinks, but we discovered that many options on the menu were vegan, and our very friendly and helpful server provided ample assistance and suggestions with choices; she then talked to the kitchen staff several times to help us out in deciding whether or not to order food, and kitchen staff went above and beyond the usual accommodations I expect at any restaurant. We found out that the falafel contains eggs, but many salads, dressings, flatbreads, vegetable sides, and specials are vegan. We ordered appetizers, then the food was so good we ordered another round of food and made it an enormous meal. We didn't ask about the beer while we were there, so check and see if it's vegan if you like beer. There was a full bar with drink special, so there were plenty of non-beer options. We loved the local vegetarian restaurant and went there several times, but Copper Creek remained our favorite lasting impression of Athens.
