Anand has been Title Grandmaster (1988) and the undisputed World Champion since 2007. He has set several records in chess and received India's highest sporting honor in 1992. He is a strict vegetarian wherever he goes and attributes his success in chess to his diet. He feels that there is no question of mental exhaustion because he is meat-free.
