Percy Bysshe Shelley was a major English Romantic poet and is considered to be among the finest lyric poets of the English language.

Shelley was married by age 19 with child, but he left his unhappy relationship to be with novelist Mary Shelley. He died at the age of 29 when he drowned in a sudden storm while sailing.
