Laura Theodore is a vegan actress, musician
Laura Theodore is a radio and TV host, published healthy lifestyle author, vegan chef, award winning actor, and jazz recording artist. She is the proud creator of the "Jazzy Vegetarian," and author of two recently published books focusing on sustainable lifestyle choices. Laura began eating "green" over 25 years ago when vegetarian recipes were hard to find, so she began creating her own. Her philosophy is to bring us tasty vegan recipes and menu choices, with a touch of her vibrant personality on the side. Laura began her personal journey into the world of vegetarian cooking and green entertaining when she started working with Marcy Baskin, author of "Hingham Grain & Spice Cookbook." In New York, Laura counseled with nutritionist and life extension specialist, Oz Garcia. She became intrigued with developing delicious, accessible recipes based on a diet that included vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, and non-animal proteins. Laura has made guest appearances on Good Morning America, Phil Donahue, America’s Talking, and others. As a jazz singer and songwriter, she has recorded six solo CDs, including her award winning disc, "Tonight's the Night," and her critically acclaimed disc with Joe Beck, "Golden Earrings." She has toured throughout the country, performing at numerous major events, such as Night of 100 Stars, Fire and Ice Ball, and The American Film Awards.
