The shoulder pads give it structure at the top, while the rest falls clean and unshaped. The front fastens with two matt-finish buttons made from compressed paper and resin. You can put your carry essentials into the two deep slip pockets. To keep you warm, there's a 60g thermal insulated lining made in Italy from 100% polyester, which works with the weight of the outer cloth. Its loose cut makes it ideal for winter layering over chunky knits, and you can pop the lapels on colder days. The Italian-made viscose lining makes for smooth layering. In black, it'll go with nearly anything. The camel tone sits well against grey, navy and denim. It works over a midi dress with tall boots, and the length of the coat carries past the hem of the skirt. Showerproof rather than waterproof. The dense face will hold off light rain for a short while, but it soaks through in sustained or heavy wet and takes time to dry. It's best with an umbrella in proper rain.
