Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Essen ist ein Traum! Besonders die gefüllte Zwiebel und die Harissa-Möhren haben es mir angetan. Auch das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Hund hat auch sofort Wasser bekommen 🙂

Das Restaurant bietet eine tolle Mischung aus modernen und klassischen Gerichten und hat einen noblen Touch. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Obwohl es recht voll war, war das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Getränke, Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen und auch Desserts waren top. Preis-Leistung fanden wir sehr sehr gut😄

Read morees tut mir sehr leid zu hören dass ihr keine allzu gute Erfahrung in meinem Restaurant gemacht habt. Gerne würde ich euch auf einen dritten Versuch auf meine Kosten einladen um es wieder gut zu machen. Vielleicht meldet ihr euch einfach mal per Mail bei mir und wir machen was aus. Die letzten Wochen waren leider etwas schwierig für uns da wir mit massiven Krankheitsausfällen kämpfen mussten und das Unternehmen nun umstrukturieren müssen. Selbstverständlich ist das keine Entschuldigung dafür dass eure Kartoffelweges letschig und der Spitzkohl noch zu hart waren. Aber wie gesagt, ich würde es gerne wieder gut machen. Viele Grüße Dirk

They have cocktails and aperitif’s as well as a variety of wine from the region.
It’s a bit more on the expensive side but I think it was worth the price.

Unforgettable Dining Experience - Edit
I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while after seeing it featured on TV, but we just never found the time to go. Earlier this week, with the promise of sunny weekend weather, we finally made a reservation. I would definitely recommend booking ahead this place is very popular. While it has plenty of seating, it fills up quickly. During our visit, several walk-ins had to be turned away, though most of the guests, like us, had reservations.

The restaurant has an upscale vibe, both in its atmosphere and its creative menu, but this isn’t a drawback at all—it actually adds to the experience. The menu was so enticing that we had a tough time choosing. My companion opted for the 7-course tasting menu to try as much as possible, which turned out to be a brilliant decision. By the end, we were both so full that dessert was swapped for an espresso instead, a small adjustment that the staff handled without any fuss.
After much deliberation, I decided to start with the spelt pita bread and aioli. As someone who’s quite picky about aioli, I can confidently say this was outstanding - an absolute treat for the taste buds! For my main, I went with the tempeh schnitzel, and wow it was fantastic. The homemade spätzle, combined with mushrooms, lingonberries, and the perfectly cooked tempeh, created a truly memorable dish. It’s no exaggeration to say this was the best vegan meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant!
The drinks were just as impressive as the food. The house made lemonades are absolutely delicious - refreshing and full of flavor. We also tried a tea and a matcha latte, both of which were excellent and perfectly prepared.
Another big plus is their focus on regional and seasonal ingredients, which adds so much freshness and quality to the food. Sadly, we were too full to try dessert, and even so, we ended up packing leftovers to take home. I also appreciated their eco-friendly approach, offering reusable takeaway boxes with a deposit system.
If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be that there’s only one restroom, which can be a bit of an issue given how busy the restaurant gets.
Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. Geisenheim is absolutely worth the trip, and this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended we’ll definitely be back!

Das 22 scheitert an seinem Erfolg - Edit
Das Zwei und Zwanzig scheint an seinem Erfolg zu scheitern. Da ist einerseits ein völlig unterbesetzter Service, der nicht ansatzweise in der Lage ist, seine Aufgaben in angemessener Zeit zu erfüllen. Andererseits war die Speisekarte zum Teil ausverkauft und bei den noch bestellbaren Speisen wurden die Portionen so winzig klein gemacht, dass es peinlich war. Beim Schlange stehen in Richtung Toilette konnte man beobachten, wie eine einzelne Person in der Küche die Speisen für das innen znd aussen voll besetzte Restaurant zuzubereiten versuchte. So wurde aus dem "slow food" Hauptgang eine Mikro-Bowl im amuse-gueule Format und eine nach dem Hauptgang bestellte Vorspeise (wir waren einfach noch hungrig) kam mit nur noch einem Pitabrot. So mussten wir leider das Zweiundzwanzig nun final von unserer Liste streichen, denn der gute Wille allein reicht nicht aus.

Nice spacious interior with friendly staff. We arrived early enough to relax & have a coffee, my one small complaint was that I wanted a big coffee but got a normal size one as the big cups are only used for cappucinos? I don't like frothy coffee, I don't see why they couldn't just give me a large americano with oat milk! Anyway, after ordering a second coffee to satisfy my need, we were ready to eat. We shared a the green pea falafel, these were delicious, could've had a bit more hummus with them but I highly recommend them. I opted to try the black bean burger & potato wedges with aioli, the burger was tasty & fresh, the wedged seasoned & cooked perfectly. My girlfriend had the tempeh schnitzel which was delicious. Sadly we were too full for dessert but we will return.

The zwei und zwanzig is a beautiful restaurant in the city center of Geisenheim. I had the Braised Jerusalem artichoke with Bavarian cabbage, really a vegan food you don't get everywhere. The food was phantasic und quite cheap, for what you get. Besides the staff was very friendly.

Amazing fresh food! - Edit
The prices are relatively low given the fact that the vegetables are mainly locally sourced from organic farmers in a striking distance of 50k. Even the "slow dishes" were served rather fast and everything tasted absolutely amazing! Friendly, cosy atmosphere and two busy but still friendly and cheerful servers. Clearly worth the trip to this small village!

Das 22 ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Hier gibt es eben nicht nur Humus und Fallafel. Wöchentlich wechselnde Tageskarte und die Hauptkarte wird alle paar Monate saisonal angepasst. Sehr kreativ, tolles Ambiente, freundliches Personal. Hab noch kein vergleichbares Restaurant kennengelernt. Kein Wunder das sie schon in der Falstaff waren.
