I’ll Ziya Again

Housed within a picturesque courtyard setting, it is near impossible not to be charmed by this stylish, market-style brunch. Though don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all mere aesthetics; there is also real substance to what they have to offer.
All of which was evident after having completed an initial cursory sweep of all the stations; I was more than satisfied that I would be able to feast with little issue. However, ever the glutton, I made polite enquiries about the possibility of any further additional options.
Little did I know that this one simple request would summon forth an absolute force of nature. While happily gorging away on the available fayre - the freshly prepared and excellently executed peanut pad Thai, to be precise – I was abruptly introduced to the head chef of the establishment. Appearing from nowhere, this culinary wizard clad in black obviously had some repressed need to flex their plant-based skillset, as what followed was a barrage of exquisite dishes. A carefully curated sushi bowl was swiftly followed by a truly sumptuous mushroom sandwich. Not long after came delightful aloo tiki, with a lentil dal and accompanying bread (for good measure), and to cap it all off, a resoundingly good burger and a wildly deceptive flatbread pizza. The latter of these had an appearance that seemed to suggest that it would be a dry, thankless chore to eat, but this couldn’t have been further from the truth. Any one of these would have been adequate to bolster the already ample choices available from the set buffet, but having them all was pure ecstasy.
It’s fair to say that this experience far surpassed my expectations, and in doing so ensured that I’ll be looking to return for more of the same very soon, as well as a hearty recommendation.
