Little restaurant in the street

Bufé style restaurant, you pay for the quantity of food you pick. You can ask to take away (as a bento)
It was good and the mock meat is interesting.
They give you white rice when you pay.

Inexpensive and generous servings

Another gem in Hsinchu, Cheng Huang Temple (新竹城隍廟）Hsinchu City God Temple. The stall owner is very generous in his servings, I had fried noodles and soup for my dinner and I would say the noodles is really very nice and the herbal soup came in to warm my body during the cold weather in Hsinchu (December).

Pros: Generous serving , Inexpensive

Cons: Hard to locate
