智静素食館 is a larger-than-average vegetarian buffet restaurant. Plenty of seating.

recommend to visit early

almost nothing left when I arrived at 18:30.
Almost vegan (besides salad and some dessert), not cheap

Pros: clean

Cons: single use plates

Really tasty veggie Buffet

I really really like this buffet and go here often. It is rather cheap and there is a big variety of really good foods. Most of it is vegan and the things which are only vegetarian are clearly visible (contain mayo or egg) and the staff can also explain it to you.

Great variety but food was quite cold

There was a great variety when we visited here. Lots of food to choose from and although the vegan choices are not marked, we did what other reviewers suggested and went by sight and common sense. We were confident that our meal was completely vegan. Most of the things we had tasted well, although most of it was quite cold. As I understand, this is common in restaurants like this, so I don't want to criticize it too harshly. The food still tasted good or ok-ish depending on exactly what it was, but it would have been so much better if it had been hotter.

The staff did not speak English but were very friendly and welcoming. The system of the restaurant is efficient so that everything works very quickly. It was a very cheap meal as well.

Pros: Cheap, Quick, Lots to choose from, Friendly staff

Cons: Food quite cold, Ingredients not marked

Quick, delicious

Amazing variety of vegetables and proteins, very quick, plenty of seating and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend (especially the fried sweet potato)

Great pay-by-weight buffet place

I took my mom here for lunch before she went shopping at Nanmen Market, and while she's not vegetarian or vegan, she enjoyed the variety of nutritious vegetables offered here. (I did, too!) They also have a mung bean and Job's tears soup, which I thought would be slightly sweet but didn't taste sweet at all. We did not opt to get any rice (NT$15 for your choice of white, brown, or red) but were full anyway. There was also a savory soup that we didn't try. You can also order sesame noodles (NT$50) or braised noodles (NT$85). I saw someone's order of the latter, and it looked huge. So you probably would fill up on that already instead of eating anything off the buffet!

Great variety and so tasty!

One of the best buffet-places I have been to in Taiwan. Great variety and a lot of specialties like rolls, sushi etc. don’t miss the sweet and sour chicken, it’s delicious!

Nutritious and affordable

Pick up a tongs, a plate (there’s also takeaway plates, with lids), and knock yourself out. So many choices, my eyes bigger than my stomach. Lots of vegetable choices, chick peas, tofus, fake meats, some cooked healthily, some fried, some fermented. They have sweets too. The rice station is just past the pay station. Pay by weight, and it’s very affordable.

Pros: Choices!, Affordability , Tasty

Cons: I couldn’t see anything to drink.

Huge buffet

Great buffet where you can put anything on your plate, let it weigh and pay accordingly. A lot of different veggie meat pieces which you should all try out!
Rice (white, brown and red) costs an extra 15 NTD

Great buffet

Really enjoyed the buffet dinner here. This place had so many options to choose from, all of which were delicious. It’s not super clear what is vegan and what is vegetarian so use your own judgement and common sense, but I would absolutely recommend eating here. It’s not too far of a walk from the Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall. Really good value for money.

Cold food

Have been here a few times in the past year for dinner. The food is always cold even if you come right when it opens. It's also the most expensive veg. pay-by-weight buffet that I have been to in Taipei.

Pros: Clean and nice furniture

Cons: Expensive for what it is., Always cold food

Go there

Vegetarian, most things vegan. Not sure about 100% vegan, owner speak englisch just little bit. Have clean food, no oil, no suger, tofu, free soup, brown and with rice. You pay per weight. Look at my pictures, I paid one time 88 doller and one time 82 doller. Easy to find, but everything in chinese language. Watch the pictures. Pros: Cheap, Taste good, Much options

One of the better pay-by-weight buffets

This is one of my two favourite pay-by-weight vegetarian buffets. The food is very good. I (a 100 kg guy) usually pay 150-200 NT for a meal plus rice, which is a bit more than I pay at most other buffet places; I'm not sure whether they price per weight is a little higher here or whether I just take more food because it's so good.
I brought a visiting friend here, whom I had also
The restaurant is a bit larger than the average buffet place, so it's usually manageable to get seating.
They usually have a sweet hot soup, which is quite nice and free with a meal.

Pros: Really good food, Big selection
