I love Zest ! - Edit
A vegan gluten free restaurant with a really awesome cozy vibe...super Bali beautiful with plants, murals, statues, carvings and a view. I love the vision too and using the local plants is awesome. Applause for that ! Too many restaurants in Ubud don't take advantage of the abundance of local resources and import so many of the ingredients they use .
Read moreI have been eating my way through the menu. So far I really love the Jackfruit Steak and the Bombay Bowl. I shared some small plates and loved the mushroom spinach. Simply delicious. Ooh and the savory avocado flat bread. Clearly I am addicted and will keep coming back !

Everything was perfect — the staff/service, location, beautiful building, lovely music and nice chilling spot. However the most important (food) wasn’t tasty. Pretty expensive too.

There are many places in Ubud where you can vegan food, but for some reason I found only two spots where the food was proper tasty and Zest is one of them.

I would definitely visit again also for the atmosphere and pleasant deco.

Incredible vision and execution - Edit
Me and my partner went to zest around the time of its opening so they were still experimenting with their menu, but everything the chef tried he excelled at.
Read moreThe food is beyond incredible. He just understands flavour and texture and we quickly became obsessed with the place. As well as that the owner has created an incredible vibe there. The place is stunning, overlooking the trees and they have turned it into a cool hang out spot, something that countless restaurants try and fail to do. It would not be out of place as a trendy bar in London or anywhere in Europe.
The staff are lovely, the food is incredible, the drinks are amazing (try the China latte), the ambience is incredible.
They do have some wake up hippy morning dance but every now and then which isn't my thing but could be yours.
Often when you see a menu like this you would assume it was borne out of pretention, overly complicatee just to sound impressive. But this is nto the case with zest. They deliver both style and substance at a reasonable price.
Dewa the manager as well as ratna make you feel welcome and excel when it comes to hospitality.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Maybe book ahead as it gets really busy!

The BEST place in ubud - Edit
Zest is special. There's is no other place like it in ubud(or the world!?!) Not only is it the most beautiful restaurant, from the interior to the breathtaking views, the food is unbelievable. Seriously, the chef is a genius.

Everything from the drinks to the desserts are incredible. In particular I recommend the tapioca sandwich, the sweet potato fries, the Bangkok bang salad and the Brownie in a mug.
Serious, if you're in ubud go to zest immediately!!!

MY FAV IN UBUD! - Edit
The staff at Zest goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and create a connection. Then you walk into a beautifully decorated venue that is super clean and cozy. The best part? The food! Obvs. Oh and the view! So magical. We tried most of the menu and while it was all super delicious, my favorite is their kebab wrap with a side of their heavenly crispy baby potatoes with chipotle mayo. Oh and the coffee is the best I’ve EVER had. I’m heading back to Ubud tomorrow and cannot wait to enjoy their wrap .. I’ve just drooled on my phone.

yummmm! inventive vegan menu - Edit
Wow, this is my new fav place in Ubud. I only discovered them days ago but have already gone back three times. The food is a taste explosion. Very creative and unique. The drinks and smoothies I’ve tried are tasty as well. Plus the vibe and decor are super nice. Will be back!!

Zest was outstanding in every way. We ended up coming here twice during our short stay in Ubud. The atmosphere is relaxed and has a nice view overlooking the streets of Ubud and treetops. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Read moreThe best part about this place would have to be the food. We tried two of the wraps, a salad, and multiple side dishes. Everything was delicious. Everything was also reasonably priced. The desserts were unusual but great. Currently they are only open for lunch, but I believe they have plans to open for dinner in May. Don't miss out on this great veg spot!

Every single thing we tried from the menu tasted incredible.
Read moreThe smoothie bowl, black rice pudding and the ‘bangkok boom’ salad. Everything just tasted divine and looked so incredible.
Also the staff is very friendly.
The place feels really fancy and special.
It also looks beautiful, surrounded by old temples.
The rest from the menu also looks amazing and I’m sure every single dish tasted amazing and everything is made with a lot of care and love, you can see and taste it!

This new restaurant offers everything I love, high quality and healthy plant based food, cozy areas to hang out or work and a beautiful view.

The Balinese structure of the building has been respected with modern elements added resulting in a classy and cozy atmosphere.
The staff is very friendly, excellent service; they really care about you having a beautiful experience.
My favorites – chai latte with cashew milk (take the large one :D) Bali Breeze salad, creamy cauliflower, run piglet, run. Fruits and veggies are locally grown. If you come during durian season, don´t miss the durian smoothie!
Needless to say all my non vegetarian/vegan friends loved it too.

Read moreSo this is a bit unusual, the owner letting a review about his own place, but i had to it, as I am very proud of what we do and stand for.
We created a very cozy place that mixes Balinese old traditional architecture and modern art. We have a great view overlooking the Campuhan Bridges lush jungle and very chill comfortable sitting.
But the space is not what we stand for, we stand for a Food that Bali lush nature can celebrates. We are ingredients driven freaks and we brought to the light some superstar balinese ingredients too often forgotten.
