Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist sehr schnell fertig und schmeckt gut! Gerade aber die Shakes sind zu empfehlen, selten so was leckeres getrunken!

Never Visiting Cologne Without Stopping Here - Edit
Absolutely recommended! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and clearly prepared with great care. The selection of vegan dishes is outstanding, offering something for every taste. We were especially impressed by the homemade drinks – truly premium quality and full of flavor. On top of that, the staff was friendly, attentive, and the service was fast and efficient. We will definitely be coming back! 🫶🏼

Read moreThe restaurant itself is spacious, beautifully decorated, and welcoming. There are lots of seats both indoors and outdoors, making it a great option regardless of the weather. The staff have always been very friendly, and the food arrives surprisingly quickly.
I’ve visited twice so far and, interestingly, have only ordered appetizers because I wasn’t particularly hungry on either occasion. That said, the selection of small plates is excellent and perfect for sharing. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.
Even though I still need to work my way through more of the menu, my experiences so far have been consistently positive. A solid choice if you’re looking for fresh Vietnamese food with plenty of options and friendly service.

Das Angebot war sehr umfangreich, das Essen bunt und lecker. Ich hatte mir Zeit genommen um alles zu genießen, aber nach ca. 1h wurde die Frequenz mich zu fragen ob alles in Ordnung sei sehr hoch und eher nervig. Bezahlen war an diesem Abend weder mit Visa noch mit Maestro möglich, aber mit Paypal ging es irgendwie.

Als ich auf meiner Radreise durch Deutschland nach einem veganem Restaurant gesucht habe das am Pfingstmontag geöffnet hat war Ze Chay mitunter der einzigen Optionen. Angekommendurfte ich mein Handy bei ihnen laden und das Essen, eine Budda Bowl und ein Bao Bao, kam sehr schnell. Für den nicht so hohen Preis war es völlig angemessen und das Gericht sehr ausgewogen und bunt. Während dem Warten ging ich jedoch mit meiner Wasserflasche auf die Toilette und füllte sie dort auf. Man muss wissen das dieser Pfingstmontag 2026 bis zu 33 Grad warm war und ich vorher zumindest auch in anderen Gastronomien immer meine Flasche auffüllen durfte. Natürlich tat ich dies ungefragt und kann vielleicht ein wenig nachvollziehen warum dies ünhöflich erschien. Einer der Bedienungen schien damit nämlich ein Problem zu haben und ermahnte mich beim zahlen und sagte ich müsse extra zahlen da ich meine Flasche bei ihnen aufgefüllt habe. Ich finde, dass gerade an solch einem heißen Tag und der Tatsache das ich bei ihnen auch Essen und Getränk bestellt habe sehr unsympatisch Nächstes mal sollte ich jedoch natürlich nachfragen, wahrscheinlich wahr ich an die Selbstverständlichkeit der anderen Restaurants so gewöhnt, das es mir normal erschien. Trotzdem eine Aktion geprägt von fehlender Freundlichkeit und Verständnis bzw. ganz im generellen unsolidarisch. Genau solche Ereignisse lassen eine/n die (anscheinenden)Werte und die Einhaltung dieser erkennen.

Rein veganes Restaurant mit einer großen Auswahl. Ich konnte viele Gerichte probieren, die ich vorher nicht kannte. Das Sushi (Tempura Style) kann ich sehr empfehlen. Auch der Matcha mit Hafermilch war lecker. Bei vielen Gerichten hatte ich jeodch den Eindruck, dass es mehr darum geht, dass sie schön angerichtet sind, da sie mindestens zur Hälfte nur aus Salat bestehen.

We had white pearls as a starter and golden soup and peanut cream as mains. The dumplings were nice with an intense sauce. The mains were tasty as well, but could have used more flavour for the curry and peanut. The tofu of the curry had little going for it but the shrimp in the cream were nice. Our drinks were good, mint lemonade and green dream. All in all, a good experience but not exceptional.

Really good vegan Asian spot for lunch. Prices are great and the portions are honestly huge. I had the peanut-sauce “shrimp” dish (I was a bit nervous because I never liked the animal version, but the vegan one had a very light taste, so no problem at all). Only downside: the staff wasn’t very smiley or particularly friendly. But overall, a solid place for a tasty and affordable vegan meal in Cologne.
