cheesesteaks! - Edit
Great place. Quick, delicious version of Philly's main culinary contribution - the cheesesteak. Nice local beer. Would definitely go back.

Don't overlook the salad! - Edit
I've been here several times and agree with the rest of reviewers: the cheesesteak is phenomenal. I'd say for your first time--you definitely need to try it. But if you are local and can get there again, don't hesitate to order salad.
Read moreThey had 2 salads in the past, now it looks like only the Yucatan is on the board. It is fantastic and filling. The flavors are fresh and the crunchy topping is delicious (they must do something other than just crumble tortillas--I do that at home and it doesn't taste near as good).
So yes, try the cheesesteak but don't be afraid of the salad!
Pros: Delicious!
Cons: small, can be hard to find a seat

Best Vegan Cheesesteak - Edit
I love this place. The cheesesteaks are amazing and since I live in the suburbs I make sure to stop in here every time I’m in Philly and stock up on these. I’m serious: I buy like 3-5 and stick them in the freezer. They are that yummy. It’s so sad when I run out! Any vegan visiting Philly needs to make a stop in here! They sell other sandwiches, snacks, and beer!

Pros: Best vegan cheesesteak ever, Perfect seasoning, Perfect “cheese”

Amazing!! - Edit
I've gone here twice now, and I loved it each time. I am a huge fan of the way the "cheese" tastes, and the the fries are the bomb!! Will forever go back when in philly looking for a vegan cheese steak.

Cheese Steaks on Point - Edit
I recently visited Wiz Kid for the first time with a friend who has been there before. I ordered the WK Philly sandwich and an order of fries. The menu is limited to only a few items, but it seems that Wiz Kid has perfected the steak sandwich. This vegan choice was hands down in the top three Philly cheese steaks I've ever eaten. It was a great price for the amount and quality of food. The atmosphere was very "Philly-esque", which was perfect for a steak sandwich joint.

Really good! - Edit
Really fun to try a Philly Cheesesteak while in Philly! Tasted a bit to ‘real’ for my liking (but did make me think it could certainly fool an Omni friend!). Definitely worth a try especially if you have Omni friends in tow who you want to show what can be done with vegan food!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner. The place is small but the food is good. My only complaint is it was very salty for my liking.

Gotta do the WK Philly - Edit
When a vegan visits Philadelphia, one must try a vegan version of the city's namesake sandwich, right? This one is very good, I can head back home feeling that I have done the city justice. The Rattlesnake Fries are very spicy, you've been warned!

i initially was turned off by the mushroom cheesesteak favorite here, since i’ve never been a big cheesesteak fan even before i was vegan.. but.. i was delightfully surprised!! very good!! however, that’s the only menu item i’ve tried😄but it makes me think the rest will be great as well

Loved it! - Edit
We were only in town for about a week, and our norm is to not frequent the same establishments more than once, when there are multiple vegan/vegan friendly spots in a city. We made an exception for Wiz Kid. This place has the best Philly Cheesesteaks in the city! No kidding. The "meat" is well marinated, packed in, and delicious. The cheese is unique in flavor, and works well on the sandwich or the "wiz fries." We tried the pizza Philly cheesesteak, which I believe was a "special" and not typically on the menu (good, but not our favorite -- the pizza sauce was a little thick); the regular Philly cheesesteak; the Rueben Philly cheesesteak; the Wiz fries (regular fries with the restaurant made cheese); and the Korean Fries (regular fries with several toppings including seaweed, and cheese). The Rueben Philly and the Wiz fries were by far our favorite items on the menu. Worth trying every time we are in town. Do not sleep on this place! Go if you are in town!

Had the Wiz kid philly and okonomiyaki fries. They were absolutely DELICIOUS! It was SOO good! I felt the need to double check that I was in fact eating vegan food because the explosion of flavor was amazing! Definitely coming back!

Literally the Best - Edit
The cheesesteak here is one of the best things I've ever consumed. The textures and the flavors are on point. I can't speak to its comparison to your typical Philly cheesesteak, as I have never had one, but I have brought meat-eaters here who have said that this is even better flavor-wise, although slightly different than the local fave. It's a good bang for your buck here with good portions of incredible food at affordable prices. I also recommend the Harissa fries for a new and interesting flavor. The staff here also are very friendly.

Great flavor, v expensive - Edit
Went there to work on a project alone and loved it ! The food was amazing, but pretty expensive. For a sandwich and a small drink (non-alcoholic) and small pastry w/ 20% tip was like $30.

KFT hit the spot - Edit
I had the Korean Fried Tempeh (KFT), which really hit the spot. It had kimchi, sriracha thousand island, and tomato. These fresh elements made the sandwich simultaneously comfort food-y and refreshing. My friend also ordered the okonomiyaki fries, which I got to munch on. I liked the fries, especially the nori topping, but they weren’t as exciting as I expected. (Likewise for the wiz fries, which I tried a couple days later).
Read moreThe staff here are nice. They also have beer, so it was cool to hang out with my friend over some beers and good vegan comfort food.

Just Go Already! - Edit
I'm visiting Philly and was stoked to find a cheesesteak that I can actually eat. It was literally one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. Bread was nice and chewy, mushrooms had a little bit of char around the edges, it was perfect. I'm now debating going back tomorrow before I head home. Do yourself a favor and do not miss Wiz Kid.
