Extremely Impressed! - Edit
The food here provided by Nancy and her team is wonderful. The menu has a special vegan section, no need to ask for a separate menu or for any meal alterations. All the staff are well trained and know what is vegan and what isn’t. They provide a free ‘pulse of the day’ dish which is amazing! Alongside bread and vegan butter. One of the chef often experiments, and every time I have been there I have been given a new dish to try that isn’t usually on the menu, all of which have tasted amazing! I highly recommend this place to any vegan in Cyprus, it is definitely worth travelling for. It can be busy there, so make sure you book a table before hand.

So much mezze!! - Edit
Entered the restaurant with the expectation of lots of food and previous reviews were not wrong! Dish after fish of amazing tasting local food. It is a family run restaurant and the waiter explained each dish to us which was a lovely extra touch! Unfortunately one dish we found a dead wasp in which the waiter was so incredibly shocked by and was really baffled that this had happened. It was a put off from the food but luckily it was in one of the last dishes that come out. Highlight was the chocolate cake and garlic mushrooms. Got very busy but great food service, amazing service, very clean and extremely apologetic when it came to the bug incident!

Vegan mezze was amazing! - Edit
My partner and I had the vegan mezze (€34 for two people). A few cold starters were brought out including hummus, olives, pickles, beetroot, salad bowl, tahini and some bread, as well as a vegan-friendly version of the house appetiser and some vegan spread. The waiter then brought 4 small bowls of warm stews/rice/bean dishes and some garlic bread. We had eaten quite a lot by this point but more and more food kept being brought to the table! I especially enjoyed the African potatoes, aubergine slices topped with vegan cheese and chopped tomatoes, and couscous. Even though we were very full and didn’t manage to eat everything, we got some baklava to share which came with raspberry sorbet. When we asked for the bill, the waiter also brought us two small chunks of chocolate cake which were incredibly rich and indulgent. Overall, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and were very impressed. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic food and service - good vegan options - Edit
Myself and my omni partner went here last night on the last night of our holiday - it was by far the best meal we had all holiday.
Read moreThe waiting staff were so attentive and clearly passionate about their food. Often in places that mostly serve meat options the vegan menu can be a second thought, but it doesn’t seem that way here - there were a great choice of vegan main meals! There was even vegan butter to go with the bread!
For my main I picked the vegan selection, which was several Greek/Cypriot vegetable dishes, and ‘chicken’ fried cauliflower - they were all gorgeous.
There were even 3 vegan options for dessert: chocolate cake, apple pie, and baklava. I chose the chocolate cake which came with a vegan raspberry ice cream, it complimented the richness of the chocolate cake really well.
They also have a really thorough allergen list at the back of the menu, so you can see which dishes contain which allergens, plus the staff seem to know the menu really well and are really helpful.
We were even treated to a complimentary side dish, and some very yummy orange liqueur made by one of the staff!

Amazing Vegan Options - Edit
When writing this review I know I will run out of superlatives to describe how much I loved this place.
Read moreWe knew in advance that the restaurant offered vegan options and both Trip Advisor and Happy Cow have many examples of 5 star reviews and yes booking is necessary as is very popular.
All in all we visited 3 times during our holiday and each time the food just got better and better.
On our first visit we shared the stuffed mushrooms, aubergine saghanaki and spinach rice, all made vegan and all delicious. In addition the waiter brings out fresh bread with dairy free butter and a complimentary lentil dish that is really tasty ( this comes every time you visit)
The second time we had the vegan platter of the day which was made up of 5 individual dishes, again all delicious. The waiter talked me into having a vegan baklava for dessert which was absolutely wonderful.
On our last visit we went all out for the vegan mezze and wow, what a fantastic meal it was. I think that we had approximately 16 cold and hot dishes which were steadily brought to our table throughout the sitting (I hope you have a good appetite as there is a lot of food). We literally couldn’t move by the time we had finished eating but then the waitress brought out complimentary pieces of the moistest, most delicious vegan chocolate cake I have ever tasted. Somehow I had room for it!
The service was brilliant, the staff really warm and friendly and food exceptional. Probably one of the best dining experiences I have ever had
Pros: Vegan Mezze, Chocolate Fudge Cake

Absolutely lovely taverna near paphos harbour. We'd read about this place before we ventured out and were eager to try its vegan mezze.
Read moreThey did not dissapoint, we simply ordered the mezze no starters etc and we were being brought out and eating food for the best part of 2 hours! They double checked we were both vegan and had an allergen list at the back of their menu.
To list a few dishes we were served: hummus, olives, salad, stuffed tomatoes and dolmades, greek stew, beetroot, a lentil and rice dish (sooo yummy) fried cauliflower, bread and vegan spread, spinach rice, a few bean dishes too. Around 16 total dishes.
We left this restaurant absolutely stuffed, with a shot of warm, vegan oramge liqeur on the house to send us on our way, we were both sporting food babies for the night!
Pros: more food than you could possibly eat between 2
Cons: i couldnt finish the food :(

THE PLACE TO GO IN PAPHOS! - Edit
Wonderful, historic and atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Paphos. Has a range of vegan options on a separate vegan/vegetarian menu. We shared a vegan meze which was more than 15 different vegan dishes (essentially everything on the vegan menu), and all of them were delicious. The food was all freshly cooked and home-made with lots of variety and taste. There were also 3 vegan dessert options of apple pie, chocolate cake and baklava; we had the chocolate cake which was delicious too. The cooks are a husband and wife who have run the restaurant for over 40 years, and the waiting staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Place in Paphos where they know what vegan is - Edit
Very decent restaurant with great vegetarian/vegan menu! Nice staff will explain you what exactly every option is, and while you are waiting may bring you free starters, like vegan butter with bread, rice with lentils... For 15 euros I've got Buddha bowl and 250 ml of rose wine, I remained super full and satisfied. Also we didn't know if we should take a vegan chocolate cake, and the waiter unexpectedly brought to us a little piece for free to try, because they were so proud of it. And indeed itwas really impressive!

Perfect last meal to the holiday-vegan meze - Edit
We were delighted to find a place that offered a vegan menu which is hard to find in Cyprus. The vegan meze was exceptional- around 20 dishes (pitta, olives, stuffed aubergines, beans/lentils, hummous, potato dishes and so much more). Each dish was full of flavour and we really got to experience the cypriot food. We were absolutely stuffed but couldnt resist the chocolate cake and vegan ice-cream for afters- all amazing. The service was impressive- all the staff smiling and so friendly. Our cocktails were topped up free of charge and we even received an alcoholic beverage for afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble for this family-run place. No wonder they have been thriving since 1977. Thank you

During our holiday in Polis we went one night to eat at the Windmill in Paphos because we wanted to enjoy vegan food which is not so easy at the area. We had read very positive things about this place and after the wonderful dinner i only can say that it was amazing. De vegan meze gave us The possibility to taste hone made vegan food , delicious and colorful. Charly was very friendly and he explained everything about we got from him. The food is cocked by his mother. They have also vegan desserts as the chocolate cake. To die for!

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We had the Vegan Meze, it was amazing sooo much food to try and every plate just as tasty as the last. To follow we had a vegan chocolate cake. OMG it is the best cake we have had to date. So much so I'm sure we will be back for another visit before we leave to go home. The staff we amazingly friendly and not pushy like we have found in some of the other restaurants in Cyprus. They were happy to talk to you about the food and it was great to hear that it was family recipes. Even if your not staying in Paphos it's definitely worth a trip.
