Happy to Support a Vegan Buffet

Just be sure to look for the characters on the big, yellow sign when leaving the subway (exit B). There's also a logo that looks like a star and crescent.

I went for breakfast: congee + salty veg to put in it, three bready/roll options and brown rice with mixed veg were the unastounding things in the lineup. Luckily, there was a really nice cauliflower + fungus stir-fry and roasted purple sweet potatoes at the end. Clean off your own plate in the back and then throw 10rmb in the donation box and you're good to go. There's a store attached that sells dried mushrooms, beans and nuts.

Affordable and tasty

I almost missed it. I think they moved further down the street. It’s on the first floor. The restaurant was full of old people 😂 but the food was good and affordable. I paid with wechat. I’ll be back again soon! 😋

Pros: Decent selection of dishes, Large space with strong AC, wifi and toilet, Affordable - 15¥

Cons: No tissues, No water dispenser , Slightly gloomy space

Wen Xing Vegetarian - Shatai S Road

I don't add many reviews these days but feel compelled to give this place a good write. The resto and shop both appear to be all-vegan. My Canto speaking co-diner and I arrive a couple of minutes before 2 pm. Staff were putting things away including removing the food. My better half asked the lady if we were OK to still get some food. We were told in reply it'd be OK for us to each make one visit to the buffet before they remove the remaining food (much of the food had already been removed). We were also told there'd be no charge for us and it'd be free. It's supposed to be 20 rmb per person (at time of writing). even though we were told it'd be free, we both paid half price into the money box on the way out since that seemed fairer than no charge at all.

Pros: All vegan, Inexpensive

Decent food at Wen Xing

Has a set price buffet, full of Buddhist vegetarian food: no eggs or dairy, no garlic, no ginger. They are located on the first floor of the Wen Xing hotel. If you see a little bridge over a stream in front of a shopfront, you're there. It's typical Buddhist buffet food.

Pros: strictly vegan food, wide variety, low price

Typical Chinese veg buffet

Went there for lunch a couple times this weekend. Typical Chinese veg buffet - help yourself and put 20¥ in the box on your way out. Was very busy when I went on the Sunday (around 12.30) but got a seat OK. Much quieter when I went later the day before (13.30 - 30 mins before lunch finished) but lots of the food had gone. Also both occasions they ran out of cups but had plenty of small bowls to drink from instead.

Take exit A from the metro, once out of the station turn back on yourself and keep straight. Cross the road and its maybe the sixth shop on the left. There's a green sign on the window saying it's a Veg restaurant so you shouldn't have any problems.
