Pretty good would try again - Edit
I got the kare burosu ramen and it was very flavorful and well prepared. The tofu came crispy and the portion size was good.

Avoid, food is not good - Edit
We went to Wagamama before a concert at Amalie Arena. The food options for vegans are limited and honestly totally disgusting. We ordered the three options for vegans and all three were either very bad or just bad. We ordered the yasai katsu curry which is absolutely horrible - deep fried veggie with brown gravy. The menu inside the restaurant doesn’t have pictures so calling this item a curry in an Asian restaurant is misleading. Chicken fried steak would be a better description. The second dish we ordered was the kare burosu ramen. Instead of a typical Asian broth, it was a diluted brown gravy that was disgusting. Desperate by how bad the food was, we asked the waiter to bring us a veggie stir fry which they did (essentially the chicken stir fry without chicken).

It seems that you’re not familiar with Japanese curry. Japanese curry is made with a roux base, which gives it a gravy-like texture. The veg curry at this restaurant is reasonably authentic Japanese curry. Similarly, “kare burosu” is a Japanese phoneticization for “curry broth,” so that’s why you got “diluted brown gravy.” Sounds like the restaurant served you what you ordered, you just didn’t know you were ordering Japanese-style curry dishes.

Oh, and “yasai katsu” refers to panko-breaded and deep fried vegetable (yasai) cutlets (katsu). Hopefully this information will be helpful to others reading this 1* review!

Limited, but Full flavor vegan options - Edit
I loved the "bang bang cauliflower" appetizer and the "kare burosu" noodle dish. Both had great flavor. I also got the Positivity fresh pressed juice that was truly refreshing. Everything I ordered was bursting with its own flavor. I do wish they had some more vegan options at the time, but the options they had tonight were 🔥 🔥 🔥. Loved it!!! Also, the customer service was great too.

10/10 - Edit
they have several vegan options on their menu and i’m definitely going to have to go back to try the rest. i got the avant gard’n, which was barbecue seitan, rice, mushrooms and greens, carrot, edamame, scallions, and an “egg”. the seitan.. oml i was impressed, it all tasted so good. the egg was a little weird, the yolk was sriracha which was good but the white tasted like cool whip? i also got a lemongrass ginger tea (free refills!) definitely recommend to try it out

Cons: a little pricey but worth it
