Hidden Vegan Gem! - Edit
We are Thai food lovers and have had the hardest time finding good Thai on the east side. A friend suggested Von Thai to us earlier this year and we were hesitant to try it. However, we finally took a chance on them and they have easily become our Thai favorite restaurant in the area! The service was great, fast, and efficient. It took 20 minutes to make my food, even during the dinner time rush. We ordered :

Update 9/10/24: We have come back many times and the food is always amazing! It has become our favorite Thai food place in the area. Reliable, affordable and great portions.

Good vegan options - Edit
Vegan options clearly marked in the menu. The Tom yum soup was delicious and so authentic. The green papaya salad was a bit of a let down. I was also a little suspicious that they mixed mine up with a non-vegan friend’s order as mine was mild instead of medium and she said hers was too much chilli (she ordered non-vegan mild salad) overall good range of choices.

Good for the price - Edit
The place is cheap 10.50 for a dish. Which used to be normal but is harder to find these days. So for that price can’t really complain. Food was filling lots of tofu and veggies. The curry was a little watery but whatever. The von fried rice was delicious and loaded w tofu as well. I asked for coconut milk in the Thai tea instead and they did that for me. They said they never had that request before. So Thai tea can be made vegan. Food is take out only . It’s not the best Thai food in the world but it hits the spot and gets the job done. You have enough for later. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area who’s hungry , I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it.
