I had been eating at this restaurant almost weekly since it opened several years ago. It has changed hands, so it's time for an updated review. The former buffet was small, but very reasonably priced and still had enough variety to satisfy me, especially with the different hot breads brought to the table. The new owner seems to have kept the original cooking staff, so they still serve the Gujarati dishes we loved from the start and they have added many other South Indian dishes. This did cause an increase in the price of the buffet, so I'm not eating there nearly as often. Judging from the increased amount of business, this was a successful strategy for them. But going from $8 to $13 makes me visit less often and the increased number and variety of dishes makes it hard to avoid overeating! The food is excellent, however. They still bring hot bread to the table, but with less frequency and variety. The dessert selection is more varied now and they include a bottle of water, instead of the open pitchers. The restroom has been given a very welcome remodel and is kept very clean. I do highly recommend Vishala.
Decent place for a casual dinner with friends. Restaurant at the back of a grocery store - don't bring people you want to impress there. The buffet is all day with about 6 different hot dishes accompanied by fresh tortillas from the kitchen. Proprietor was very accommodating and pointed out all the vegan options to me.
Word of warning: if you can't handle spicy food, go elsewhere. For those who like a bit of kick in their food, this is good authentic Indian food (the fact that all the other customers were Indian definitely is a good sign).

I have been back several times since this review and am happy to report the food is as good as ever and they have taken the music off endless repeat.

Prejudice - Edit
They discriminate if you're not Indian, so be prepared to pay extra for to go orders: small containers individually priced instead of foam containers.
