Language difficulties and confusion

I had a noodle wok with tofu which was ok (nothing special, have had better for the price) but when it came to the dessert menu I tried ordering something and asking if it was vegan, the owner assured me that yes it was vegan (but it said "condensed milk" as one of the ingredients), I pointed out the condensed milk and he said "coconut milk! Its vegan" and I ended up ordering it because I didn't want to be rude/seem like I didn't believe him, but in the end I honestly do not think that it was vegan and I would recommend avoiding the hassle of trying to order here.

Pros: Has some vegetarian (vegan? who knows) options

Cons: No separate vegetarian menu, No clear vegetarian labels, Language barriers, not understanding what vegan is

Fresh Vietnamese restaurant

A clean and fresh restaurant with Vietnamese food. The owners were super cute and helpful. Some vegetarian options on the menu of which a few were or could be made vegan. There were some difficulties understanding what was vegan or not and the owner did not quite know. So be aware of fish sauce or eggs in the vegetarian dishes.

Pros: Fresh , Nice owners

Cons: Not clear what was vegan and not , Owners not sure what vegan meant
