so so - Edit
The staff and management were keen and attentive, but the things i ordered were mediocre. I had some kind of fried balls, as well as the laksa. The laksa tasted nothing like laksa... It wasnt terrible, just not laksa.

Pretty good food - Edit
Ordered satay tofu sticks, chilli garlic tofu and steamed rice which were all great. The restaurant was empty though when we were there so it was really quiet and a bit awkward. Good price.

Very disappointing - Edit
We went there tonight and were looking forward to a fully vegan restaurant in the capitol of foodie culture, Adelaide. Ordered a burger, a "chicken " sate as well as a spicy noodle salad. The noodle salad was basically drowned in soy sauce with some very tired looking lettuce sprinkled around and squishy battered aubergine. The burger was terrible, the pattie was some sort of bland mash, the chips were soggy and drowned in fat. The sate was sort of ok but the peanutsauce tasted like microwaved peanut butter.
Read moreTo add to the injury was the totally unengaged service even though the restaurant was very empty.
The restaurant itself has the ambience of a class room.

I tried their recommended dish, but… - Edit
It wasn’t bad. But for their recommended dish (Vegan Chicken Masala) I would have hoped for something better. There are very few vegan spots in Adelaide it seems, so I hate not being able to give this place 5 solid stars - but the vegan dishes at a “regular” Indian restaurant here in town would be equally good or better. So for 23AUS and a somewhat simple atmosphere I can only sneak my recommendation up to 3 stars.

Not very fresh - Edit
I can‘t understand all the good reviews. Food was not very fresh, everything was frozen. Tofu tasted like fridge, the sauces were definitely not self-made. Menu is way too big. They should focus on less dishes but make them fresh. Ambience was cold..

Adequate - Edit
I had the Pad Thai, serving size was fine. Flavour was good; sparse tofu and vegetables. Reminiscent of a basic takeaway meal. Nothing to write home about. Restaurant was pretty quiet.

I ordered the “chicken” masala and yummy authentic flavours. Also golden turmeric latte was really yummy too. My friends ordered the laksa and one of the salads they were massive and took home at least half.

What a range of options and all are vegan! We had the green curry and the Singapore fried noodles and it was great.
Read moreIt did take 35 minutes for the starters to come out. Which is not a negative in my books, means they take their time to prepare the dish instead of just putting something in a microwave, I just wish there was a heads up.
All the dishes were super flavourful and unique in taste. Loved it. Will come back to try more of the menu!

Dissapointing - Edit
Food was expensive in comparison to other restaurants. Rather than too many choices of similar dishes there should be a focus on fewer higher quality dishes. I was looking forward to have a variety of vegetables and a dish with really good fresh sauce but was let down with a watered down curry with merely capsicum with tofu as a sizzling plate for $27.00.

Just overpriced and not worth it - Edit
Came to this place yesterday for lunch as it has plenty of good reviews. Unfortunately the place is very expensive and for no good reason. Food was just meh. Got a pad thai for 20 bucks and a sizzle for 30, the pad thai was just noodles with soy sauce, and the chicken stay sizzle was not bad but the "Meat" just had an odd flavouring, the place was empty and no wonder why. Im surprised to see so many good reviews everywhere. Just an overpriced restaurant.

Expensive and average - Edit
Compared to other vegan restaurants in the city, we were pretty disappointed. All the food was alright, but expensive for mostly rice and steamed veggies; there was very little mock meat served. Go somewhere else.

Cute and tasty - Edit
We stayed in Adelaide for 4 nights and came here twice so that should give you an idea of how good it was.. we tried the buffalo wings (so good!!), sizzling satay balls, sizzling eggplant, sizzling tofu and Singapore noodles. Loved the sizzling ones - eggplant was yum but didn’t hold its shape as well as the tofu. Singapore noodles were tasty but wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken in them. Satay balls were delicious!

Been to Veggo Sizzle a number of times which I would say is necessary in order to try a few bits on their menu as theres so much to choose from! The staff are lovely there and it's also nice to sit outside. Being right by the park and the tram stop is a great location too.

Had a lovely meal, including dessert here. We had the veggie supreme balls, sizzling satay with mock chicken and special veggie stir fry. The satay was definitely the pick – it was lovely! The balls were pretty nice, definitely enjoyed them. The veggies were tasty but looked a little ordinary, I think I’d go the sweet and sour ones if I had the chance to come back. We had the coconut caramel banana for dessert and it was rad. It’s a lovely little spot for a casual dinner. Staff were kind and attentive and service was quite prompt. We left happy and full 😊

Massive vegan menu - but everything just misses the mark. Weird textures and tastes. It would be awesome if they scaled back the menu and just really perfected a certain amount of dishes.
