The end of an era.. - Edit
This restaurant has been permanently closed. The operator, who rented, has moved to work at another restaurant, a wellness retreat. Very sad as the vegan options in the area are limited.

One of the best Thai restaurants with a view to die for! - Edit
We visited Khao Yai in Thailand and had dinner at Aurra Ammie. The food was delicious. The veranda style seating looks out into the river and jungle. Truely Peaceful (full of peace!).

Some of the best vegan food in Thailand - Edit
We went twice in 2 days. I was limited by how much I could eat. The menu is vast with western and Thai options. We stuck to Thai food. There is tofu, tempeh, and fake meat alternatives along with delicious veg. I liked the fact that the food was spicy as I often find places change for tourists, but the owner also asked so I’m sure you could get food without chilli too. It was incredible. It’s rare that I’ve had vegan food this good in the 4 years I’ve been in Thailand.

Excellent veggie food and pleasant place - Edit
This vegetarian restaurant offers an extensive menu and knows what veganism is. The food is fresh, finely cooked and nicely presented. It's a quality restaurant, very conveniently located between Pak Chong and Khao Yai National Park. I had a tom yam soup, fried 'chicken' with black pepper sauce and a pad thai. Everything was very good even if I wasn't fond of the pad thai. The place is pleasant and the staff very friendly. They speak English and are helpful. Prices are fair and the whole experience is very satisfying. I recommend it!

Friendly staff, diverse menu, reasonable prices - Edit
The restaurant is a bit hard to spot as I didn't see the name of the restaurant in English anywhere, but there is a sign saying "vegetarian food". I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Although it's not a vegan restaurant, the staff understand the word "vegan" and how to make dishes vegan. The menu has a nice range of Thai dishes (e.g. papaya salad, fresh rolls, deep fried tofu) and western dishes (e.g. veggie burger, pizza, pancakes and such), so it should suit most tastes and also caters for both breakfast and dinner. It is on the main road (2090) going down to Khao Yai, but I still found it quite a relaxing location. Prices are also very reasonable and decent portion sizes. Overall, if you are in the Khao Yai/Pak Chong area, I'd highly recommend going here.
Read moreEdit: One of the old photos of the restaurant shows a white banner above the entrance with the restaurant name in English. That banner doesn't seem to be there anymore, hence why it's harder to spot.

go here!!! - Edit
Okay, so the pin is a bit wrong. If you're coming from pakchong, it'll be on your right hand side, approximately 900 m before the pin. It's exactly across the street from this funky hotel with little mushroom cottages, which are hard to miss. It's not really well marked, but you'll find it.
Read moreThey have an English menu with hugely diverse options. Everything from western breakfast staples, to classic Thai dishes. Owner speaks excellent English and is very friendly/talkative! She uses only coconut oil in her recipes, with local organic produce and no MSG. We ordered fresh spring rolls, pad Thai, and rice with vegetables and tofu. Great portions for a very adequate price. (We've paid a lot more for a lot less). Overall, very excited to have spent the time finding this place. We both highly recommend it if you're on route to Khao yai, or even just making the trip out to specifically eat here. We've been to many vegetarian/vegan places throughout Asia, and this place is for sure among our top favourites!!
