Absolutely loved it here - came here twice and would have happily eaten here every night. Beautiful decor, very well-designed, friendly staff. A very cute place to eat good quality food and chill out. You pay 70k at the counter when you walk in, and help yourself. There are almost three levels of seating to choose from. Good opening hours with lots of food choice - soups, white and brown rice, free water and tea (juices for an additional cost - with metal straws), and wonderful main dishes. Particularly liked the tomato tofu and satay tofu dishes. We thought the food quality was better at lunchtime (we went around 2pm) than at dinner (went around 6.30pm - it was much quieter, and the food was not as warm).
Read moreWould really have liked to see some kind of dessert option - even if only some fresh fruit or sweet gelatinous rice dish, but really can't fault the atmosphere, food, or price for what you get and pay for. A good idea if you're with friends or a partner is to each get a bowl of rice and a plate of food to share - you can then go back to get more of what you both liked and there's less food waste. ☺️
Note: we cycled to the restaurant for lunch, and they advertise parking for customers across the street in a covered car park. We were told to just leave our bikes, but were then charged 5k each per bike when we left by the guard. I think the restaurant should provide a stamped receipt for free parking but 🤷 it's really not that much. Not sure if price is different for motorbikes.

A safe haven for any vegan where you can rest assured that everything is cruelty free. I was blown away by the soups and the ambience. I ate way too much, which was exactly what I needed to give me energy for the rest of the day. Great value for money. Unlimited green tea with ice also included.

Best Vegan food in Hanoi! - Edit
My local guide took me to this place and it was incredible! Excellent price 70 dong for unlimited food, iced tea and water. Fresh new food was constantly being brought out. Can be hard to find and quite hidden may need a taxi to find it as it is out of the way but worth to go to!

Different food for lunch and tea every tea and it’s always great! The drinks are tasty as well, and it’s great value for money for a buffet. It costs 70k for entry which is around £2.30, plus 20k for drinks.

I can comeback at any time of the week and bot yet feel bored of the food because its changed everyday. Diverse menu, quite authentic, sometime they have fusion food, which is also great :). And the Aunties at the cashier just simply so friendly and nice!

I felt that this was a pretty standard buffet. An at 70k apprantly this is a good price for Hanoi. Iv eaten at similar buffets for cheaper. Not bad but I didn't come away that impressed.

I have been there a few times and I have always loved the food and the atmosphere. Athough it is usually packed it has a nice ambience. The decoration is gorgeous and the buffet is very reasonably priced - at 70k you get around 10 dishes, enough for you to taste everything and getting second. Highly recommended.

Brilliant buffet, was only the one table left when we got there. Great variety although the desserts were all but gone when we arrived. Some more fresh vegetables and fruit would have been great but for the price you really can’t knock it. Definitely worth a visit.

Based on the happy cow reviews I went and checked this place out and was not disappointed. Veggie castle is a gorgeous little eatery with incredibly tasty food. There is an amazing variety of dishes you can pick from at the buffet - all of which are fresh and tasty.
