Fresh - fast - food, but not 'fastfood'

If you're alone or just want to grab a bite, this is the perfect place. Not very cheap though, but fresh and nutritious food and great smoothies.

Pay what your plate weights.

Pros: Smoothies , pay per weight, various choices

Cons: not very cheap, not very cosy

I really don't know how anyone could not give Vegetage a good review. The food is delicious, inexpensive and beautifully arranged and the women who run the place are very friendly and genuine.

I have never eaten such tasty rice and the rest of the meal was lovely too. I am not sure which dishes were vegan but that's my fault for not being able to understand German very well. The city centre itself is historic and very attractive and while Vegetage is upstairs above a bar there is no reason on Earth why that should detract from all its charms.

Pros: food, welcome, simplicity

ok lunch place

The restaurant is hidden in the shopping center, you actually need to pass through another restaurant to get there and the interior is not very welcoming.

They offer a buffet, with the price per weight (a full plate is usually around 10 EUR), vegan options clearly marked. Some tasty seasonal dishes but also some really boring rice & vegetables type of thing...

In general, I have the feeling it's not worth the price and sitting in a middle of the shopping center is not very nice. Still, I appreciate the variety and the location is great for lunch breaks.

Pros: a lot to choose from

Cons: depressing location

good choice vegetarian food

This place is in a huge shopping centre, so not so atmospheric. But, well, the food is good and there is a sufficient choice. The juices are pretty good.
The price for the food is ok (1,99 for 100g).

Pros: sufficient choice for vegetarians, partly regional products

Cons: not organic, not so atmospheric

Food made of regional products

Heaving read the other reviews I was a little suspicious, but was proved wrong. The place is nice and cozy, the staff super friendly and the food fresh and tasty.

Pros: Regional Products, Nice Staff, Many Vegan Options

Cons: Food Is Payed By Weight, A Little Hard To Find, Only One Vegan Dessert

One of the few veggie places in Freiburg

Good option for vegetarians and vegans visiting Freiburg. Food tastes nice but not so many choices. No vegan desserts when I went there.

Pros: central, one of the few veggie places, it's good that it's there

Cons: self service, prices, atmosphere
