The food is colorful and attractive but only moderately delicious. It’s not bad, but there are a lot of better burgers out there. Probably even in Amsterdam. All the sauces are too sweet and lack acidity.

Very hip looking place, but the cheese burger left me somewhat disappointed. It was too soft and mushy without a defining texture. The service wasn’t bad but it had the chain restaurant / franchise vibe.

When it comes to vegan junk food. This is the place to be. There isn’t anything on the menu I could say is bad. It’s all incredibly delicious food. The service is amazing.

I went with the chicken burger in the black bun - did not disappoint
Big thick crispy chips and good beer.
If I had more time in amsterdam I would of went back, definitely on the list for when we return

If you go here get the VJFB Beastie (vegan schawarma) sandwich and the Betterballs, my boyfriend and I were in awe of how delicious the food was 1000000/10 so savory and scrumptious, perfect bread texture, perfect seasoning, perfect fillings.

This was honestly the best burger I've ever had. My two meat eating companions really enjoyed it and couldn't believe it was vegan. I could have eaten there for the rest of my life if I lives in Amsterdam. Sadly I'll have to just dream of that happening one day!

A great quality vegan burger! We both had a Notorious burger with Frites uit Zuyd - tasty, saucy, juicy and fun with the black and pink buns. A generous portion for the fries. We ordered to collect through Uber Eats and the food was ready very quickly. Would have loved to try their other options.

One of Amsterdam’s Vegan Legends - Edit
Vegan Junk Food Bar will always be one of the OG spots serving actual good vegan junk food, with their own signature recipes. The classic kapsalon is always a must-order! I don’t go as often these days, but it’s always a "feestje" when I do, usually when friends from abroad are visiting. The vibe inside can get a bit loud, so I prefer coming in summer to sit outside on the terrace. It’s a shame the other branches have closed #rip, so I really hope the one at Marie Heinekenplein stays around for a long time. Even if I don’t visit as often as I used to, long live the VJFB, one I’ll never forget. ✌️

Third time visiting this restaurant, and I just love the atmosphere and menu. The new sharwarma wrap is so good but really spolit for choice and left feeling full and happ, which is partly down to the lovely cocktail options.

Go here for a vegan junk food option in Amsterdam. We were satisfied with the food although the onion rings seemed to be mostly batter and minimal onion. They make food look fun with all the brightly coloured sauces and buns. Maybe more gimmicky than actual value to the overall flavour but still a nice little spot if this is the type of meal you’re looking for.
