Fast food with vegan goodness - Edit
I had the jackfruit boats and my partner had the onion ring burger...both were tasty and filling and were happily washed down with a bottle of kombucha in a flavour of our choice. The friendly owner is giving the place a really good try but the word needs to get out there that Vegan Hut exists in maybe not the most obvious of places.

Enjoyed the pulled jackfruit, chips and onion rings burgers with the family. Great friendly service. Shall be back next time we’re in town.

Rode up from Sydney to Maitland about 3 hours to try out this newly opened (8th April) Vegan Hut place, is located at the Reading Cinema complex.
Read moreI ordered and got a Burrito the beans, peppers, onions were nice, the rice was over cooked, topped with some mashed avocados, with some salty rectangular chips on the side. I was expecting at least a wheat tortilla. $11.00
I ordered a Bao Bun to take away, not sure of the filling maybe pulled jack fruit was nice, Bun was a bit doughy, and was small. $12. They did have bottled kombucha and can and bottled juices. Disappointed no freshly squeezed juice or any smoothies. I'll try again in a couple of months. Maybe needed an opening with some tables and chairs. Good to have some plant made desserts, not those Cup Cakes laden with sugar and cream (vegan) toppings.
NOTE : It's closed on Wednesdays.

Pros: 100% plant based, friendly staff, clean and looks spacious
Cons: No fresh juice or smoothies, Portions were small for the price, no desserts
