Unresponsive - Edit
Two bags of vegan cat food came with holes eaten by mice. I wrote a polite email to the company but they didn't respond. So I filled out their webform to contact them and they still didn't respond. I even tried contacting them on Facebook.
Read moreMaybe the mouse problem is a one-off but the fact that they refuse to engage with customers makes me never want to buy from them again.
Pros: The cats liked the cat food
Cons: mouse droppings in the cat food, mouse infestation that came with the package, Unresponsiveness of the business

New ownership is not good! Products arrive late, often broken or not even what I ordered!!! Customer service is equally bad. Trust me - save yourself the trouble and don’t buy from them!

Something Has Changed with This Company - Edit
I was a regular customer for years, but the company went through some sort of change in late 2022. They had clearanced off everything, then added different inventory, very vitamin-heavy, rather than food items, and they also re-did their website and shipping, getting rid of the cheaper USPS option for smaller orders of non-perishables. I don' think they are based in Wisconsin anymore and may either be under new ownership or may have contracted out operations.
Read moreMy recent food order, placed Feb 24th, had 3 items. Only 1 item was received March 7th, with no explanation, as the 2 missing items are supposed to still in be stock. I was shocked that they sent a single, tiny, bite-size almond butter cup in a whole box via UPS. What a waste of packing supplies and shipping money! I had to ask 2x for a refund on the 2 missing items items they then said were out of stock and it took until March 17th. It is upsetting for me to lose this once a gem of a resource for vegan treats, but this will be my last order.

This is the last time I will deal with this incompetent company. Sad, because I live the idea. But they delay ordered by weeks no communication and won’t send all that is orders and don’t even communicate any refund or anything. Terrible prices and horrid shipping complications. NEVER AGAIN. Go read the others on GOOGLE. You can find their items offer elsewhere. #Veganuary

I have picked up orders from Vegan Essentials a few times in the past because I am lucky enough to live near by. The staff is pretty accommodating at making arrangements for you to pick up orders in their office. As an online store warehouse they sure treat their customers well.
Read moreSweet and Sara marshmallows are not easy to find in the Milwaukee area and so whenever I want them I'm pretty sure I'll just order them from vegan essentials.
They stock chocolate hazelnut spread. And import tons of items that your whole foods doesn't.
The warehouse is kept really clean and organized, great staff, small business, and goes through the trouble of importing so you don't have to. Win win win.
