It was fine - Edit
The staff were nice, food was pretty bland. I got the vegan cutlet. Prices were a little high, but not outrageous for the only vegan spot around

Great food, service did not match - Edit
Having been in Japan for over a week, we were craving some pasta so came here.
Read moreThe food was really good and there was a wide selection of beers to choose from.
The only downside was the service, the staff were friendly but they did forgot to take our order, then forgot to bring out part of our meal.

Meh - bland food, not worth going - Edit
The food was not great. It was just ok. Nothing to write home about. We stopped in there to grab a bite because it was the closest vegan place in walking distance at the time and we were hungry. Food wasn't terrible, just bland and no better than something one could make at home. Would not go back.

Great food - Edit
The food was delicious, however the staff acted strange towards my friend who is mixed race, ignoring him and only really addressing me. Very weird vibes and not sure I would go again, it was a shame cause the food was genuinely great.

Italian and Japanese cuisine, but no fusion - Edit
From the description of the restaurant we were expecting real fusion kitchen between Italian and Japanese cuisine, but the menu is more divided between the two than fused. I had aglio olio and was expecting rather shiso that parsley, but I got almost 100% Italian classic with sweet potatoes as a Japanese touch. Their cutlet was good, but then again, without real touch of Japan. I’d rather call it Italian restaurant with Japanese options.

Simple but fresh and hearty - Edit
This is the only all vegan restaurant in Asakusa. It offers rice and pasta dishes - usually with chickpeas or mushrooms.
Read moreYou can order additional chickpeas, or a vegan cutlet, to bump up the protein, but I wish they had more protein-dense options such as tofu, tempeh, or TVP.
Nonetheless, I ate here twice and enjoyed it both times.
I had the chickpea pasta and the eggplant arrabiata with the vegan cutlet. In hindsight, I'd order the chickpea supplement instead of the cutlet which was a bit bland.

want to go back again soon - Edit
The selection is a nice combination between more typically Japanese dishes and western dishes. Taking a set makes the prices a bit cheaper, though generally the prices while not exactly cheap are decent. I really enjoyed my lunch and plan to go here again before I return home as there are still a few dishes I'd also like to try.

Nice place for dinner. They didn't have the burgers anymore, but I chose the gratin combo, enjoyed it.

A great stop and don't miss the tanuki's - Edit
A great little place, with friendly staff. I came here for lunch because I was in Asakusa and I was happy to have been here. Everything is vegan and delicious. Had a set, which I can recommend, to have a complete meal. A must try in Asakusa!
Read moreAlso, the restaurant is located on what I call Tanuki (raccoon) street. In the street are several statues of raccoons, which bring good luck if you rub them and believe, or if you don't believe are just cute statues of raccoons. Don't miss them if you are in this street anyway!

Large menu and delicious place in Tokyo! - Edit
This place is right by the Sensoji Temple and Asakusa-jinji Shrine. It has all kinds of options. They have traditional Japanese along with more western style options too! We got a little bit of both! The basil pasta and the ramen were both delicious. They also have a lot of Vegan beer and wine options! You can buy a bottle of local beer and I also believe wine by the bottler here!

Tasty but quite expensive - Edit
We came after 3pm, google was showing that it’s closed but it was open, just in between lunch and dinner there is special menu with 2 dishes only- we had corn soup and cutlet donburi/karaage donburi. All was tasty and bowl had more than enough rice to make us full.

Very okay - Edit
Decent options and variety. For some reason they have allergy listings on the front of the menu but it isn’t accurate. I almost didn’t mention my allergies as they had them all listed with different foods, but did just incase and then both of my choices I was also allergic to with no indication on their allergy notice thing. They did do well to check everything though.

Expensive But Accessible - Edit
"Vegan Eat Tokyo" is a newish cafe that has opened up in Asakusa serving a blend of western and Japanese inspired cuisine. I wasn't able to get a seat the first night stopping by but was able to make a reservation for the following night.
Read moreTheir menu includes a variety of items including hamburg steaks, curries, stews, katsu sets, and more. Their sets all include a soup/salad and rice, and lists out all the allergens in each item.
I went with their Vegan Katsu plate (¥2500) which was fried wheat gluten with a savory tomato sauce on top. The cutlet was well prepared although it did take a bit of time for my dish to come out from the kitchen.
Prices here felt quite high which was a shame. Everything was at least ¥2500+ for a set meal (some include drinks) and while I appreciate the accessibility of vegan food, I wasn't as much of a fan of the cost.
Definitely call ahead or swing by earlier in the day to get a reservation if you're interested in trying out their spot.
