Happy vibes

There were two staff members behind the counter, the owner and his colleague, who gave us a quick run through about the masses of menu choices. Soup & sandwich menu, breakfast menu, drinks, lots of homemade cakes, weekly special main of homemade seitan and salad, and much more.

My OH had the sweet chilli seitan burger, I went for the savoury pancake stack, and we shared a seitan steak panini and fries. We got cake to take away.

I didn't see any toilet so not sure what customers would usually do, but the nearby car park has loos.

Staff were really friendly and felt like they were really passionate about what they do.

A great find

Super friendly staff, welcoming vibe, food as scrummy. Had the homemade quiche which was a huge slice with a side salad and vegan cheese baked potato!
Proper homemade food and just what was wanted on a rainy windswept day. Will definitely return to try their homemade chips!

Just amazing!

I’m so happy this vegan restaurant is within easy reach of my new home following my recent move to Scotland. The menu is varied with lots of dishes I can’t wait to try. The cakes are homemade and far too tempting! Friendly service - we felt really welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I’ll definitely be a regular!

Pros: Varied menu , All homemade and freshly prepared to order, Friendly and welcoming.

Lovely wee cafe

Passing through Ayr we searched for nearby cafes and to our surprise came across this gem. The menu was varied - burgers, panini, salads, soup and weekly specials. Could see into the kitchen which created a very warm, welcoming vibe. It was lovely to see it busy too, clearly a local favourite. The food was great and we left stuffed with some cake to go. Recommend visiting!

FYI, cash is preferred but they do accept card.

Great find

Found this fantastic wee cafe in Ayr through Happy Cow.
Lovely, helpful people serving us and fantastic food on offer. I had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup - fluffy inside with yummy crispy edges - delicious. My husband had the homemade lemon and blueberry cake - moist and very tasty.
It's refreshing to come across a vegan cafe that doesn't shy away from the real issues surrounding eating animals. There was information on the walls for people who want to know more about veganism - well done.
Will definitely come back next time we're in Ayr. Highly recommended.
Mon the coos! 🐄💚🐄

Pros: Food, Friendly staff, Dog friendly

Cons: None.

Delicious food, friendly space

A very cute small cafe in Ayr where everything is vegan, homemade and delicious! Just very good café food- namely the Cajun seitan, cheese and Cajun mayo panini, and the delicious iced ginger cake! My partner had a coffee and said it was very good too. Staff friendly and clearly passionate about vegan food and activism. A lovely surprise in a place I wouldn't have expected!

Pros: Food, Friendly staff, Cosy atmosphere

Guaranteed excellent.

I've visited Vegan Earth many times and I have never had a meal there which is not excellent. From the soup , burgers, specials to the wonderful cakes. You just wouldn't be disappointed if you are trying it for the first time. Joe and colleagues are always so welcoming. Best vegan cafe I've been to.

Pros: Everything

Cons: No cons

A Vegan Asset to Ayrshire

We popped in as a party of 5 vegan runners to a warm welcome from Joe and his lovely assistant.
Drinks ordered and we needed loads of time to peruse the extensive menu.
The coffee is amongst the best I’ve had and the I was impressed with my bhudda bowl and carrot cake.
Our table had the (premises made seitan curry, a whole-food burger, spicy mushroom soup and 2 bhudda bowls. Really tasty, really impressive.

Pros: The owner, The assistant , The ambiance

10 stars wouldn’t be enough

What an amazing cafe! My husband and I visited today after finding out about Vegan Earth via Happy Cow. We’re in Scotland on our anniversary holiday and we couldn’t have picked a better place for lunch.

We’ve been vegan for 10 years and this is easily some of the best, homemade comfort food we’ve had. The staff were amazing and friendly- we felt immediately at home and welcome and it was just an all round amazing experience.

We’d be back in a heartbeat if we lived nearby and we’d recommend a visit to Vegan Earth to anyone, vegan or not.

The cafe is loud and proud about veganism and we absolutely loved that.

If you’re thinking about visited, do! You won’t be disappointed.

Pros: The food was amazing, The staff were so friendly, The price is great

Cons: Nothing

Excellent

A brilliant vegan menu to choose from, plenty for everyone including fussy children. I got the buddha bowl and a smoothie (bonus points for having a nice wide paper straw suitable for smoothies), both packed with goodness and flavour. The kids got nuggets and pancakes, so smiles all round. Really friendly owner and charming service. Dogs welcome too. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely cafe and worth visiting

The food was lovely. They had a large menu and it was very hard to choose from with so many great options. We had the vegan afternoon tea the first visit and seitan homemade burger with a home made 'tuna' baguette and chips the second time. Both times the food was perfect. We also had takeaway cake as they looked so good. The owner and their colleagues were very friendly. Also dog friendly.

Pros: Great homemade food, Very friendly , Good price

Warm welcome and great food.

We're Dutch tourists and this place has been on our list for a while should we travel to this area. So happy we managed to visit. It was a week ago but we're still full. The welcome was so warm. So much enthusiasm, humour and heart. The menu was wonderfully original (i.e. not only a standard burger and a salad). For example, I had a seitan 'beef' bourguignon, my husband had sweet potato with chick pea tuna mayo. Portions were generous. All is home made, including some sauces/mayo. Lovely to see it's also a local hangout for neighbours and acquaintances, including non-vegans. Also lovely to see that this is not somebody who has a vegan restaurant because it's a 'trend' to make money of; the many quotes and articles on the wall show it's out of conviction and principle. The owner also paints and one of his works moved me so we left with full stomachs, pancakes for later and a painting.
