Worth the wait - Edit
The food is amazing. It's all hand crafted and looks like art when it's ready. Vegan sushi has never tasted so good.
Read moreOnly con is that it's only one guy who makes the food and runs the restaurant. If it's busy you will be waiting a while. I always recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you know you are going to eat there.

One of the best sushi’s I’ve ever had - Edit
The place is small and humble, the owner is by his own and it takes a while for him to prepare the food so please come here with no rush. This said, the wait was totally worth it. One of the best vegan sushi’s I’ve tried! I loved the different textures and flavors. You can tell they are made with love and passion. Will come back soon!

I wanted to love this spot, the sushi tasted great and all vegan, and the chef was nice. The only cons were the wait time (about an hour wait) to get our food despite being the first order of the day, and that although there are GF options, it is not completely gf allergy friendly as the same fryer is used for the tempura. Plus, you have to order at the kiosk so it's harder to talk through or specify your needs.

AMAZING sushi! The owner runs and makes all of the food and is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and an insanely talented chef! The presentation is beautiful, everything is made fresh to order, and the food is delicious. They have lots of Gluten Free options and are wonderful about making adjustments to stay allergy friendly! He made a spicy Tuna roll with alternative ingredients specially for me to make it gluten free!

Wife likes sushi, son is vegan, I’m allergic to shellfish so this worked for everyone. The storefront didn’t look great so I was skeptical. Inside was clean and comfortable. Tried 3 different appetizers and 3 different rolls. All looked great and tasted great. Price was good value. The chef was serious about quality food. Would definitely go back!

Easily the best vegan sushi in California, actually. They make everything fresh right when you order it. This is a true small business. I love this spot! If you like a little spice try the Scooby roll, you can’t order it online you have to go in for it! But also the vegetable tempura or spider roll are amazing.

I feel so fortunate to have this “hole in the wall” in Long Beach. Everything was beautifully made and the flavors excellent. You can get a Red dragon or Santa Fe or about a dozen other vegan rolls. Wow!

It’s a very casual place with a good variety of interesting rolls and other options. The avocado taco had a lot of veggies but also deep fried avocado with a savory sauce - that turned out as a very flavorful crunchy combinations. I’d definitely get another one. My favorite roll was a Long Beach roll - the cream cheese was spot on, the mushrooms added just the right amount of texture. The roll overall was delectable and refreshing.

Everything I’ve gotten here has been impressive. The tacos can get a little spicy so getting the sauce on the side is a good idea if you aren’t a fan of spicy foods. If you go in person, prepare to smell like fried food afterwards (worth it, in my opinion)

I thought the sushi rolls here were pretty good. They have an assortment of fresh and deep fried rolls to choose from. I had the Volcano and Spider rolls which were pretty large and filling. I wasn’t able to finish everything. The restaurant is sort of old, so if you’re looking for nice ambience, this isn’t it. Otherwise, the food and service is nice.

I love this spot! Pulling up and walking in you wouldn’t think much. It’s a hole in the wall kind of spot. However, once that vegan sushi hits your table you’ll be blown away by it’s beauty and taste. I crave this spot on the regular.

Vegan Castle, an unassuming corner sushi joint, doesn’t look like much on the outside. But don’t judge a book by its cover. This humble restaurant serves up some pretty fabulous sushi rolls, generous portions and beautiful presentation. Reasonably priced and friendly service, too. The Dragon Roll, Tempura Roll, Cucumber Avocado Roll and Sherry Roll were favorites.

The crispy taco was excellent- forgot to take the pic before I tucked in! Dragon and Volcano rolls were substantial- next time we would prob take half rolls as we ended up bringing some home!
