Calm and peaceful - Edit
I visited here around 9:30am and it was so calm. There were Buddhist Monks sitting having food, random dogs laying around sleeping and Tibetan prayer flags blowing in the wind. The smoothie bowl I had was so tasty and the staff so kind and friendly. This is such a great place and I recommend everyone going

A comercial place. Did not feel like sitting and eating there because of it's kind of commercial, mass serving vibe. Prices seemed ok. Not a nice or cosy atmosphere, but rather touristy.

Perfect place to kick back and relax in a city that doesn’t have too many ‘hidden’ cafe gardens. They have signs that say they are vegan but they are not so order with caution. I had vada which came with tomato and mint chutney which I was assured was vegan. I insisted that they double check with the kitchen as mint chutney is often not vegan. When they came back they confirmed my concerns, it was veggie only. There was also some confusion as to what cakes were vegan, it turned out there was only one, a decadent banana chocolate cake that was oh so good.

This restaurant is a pure veg one and has a vegan menu too with many vegan options. What I like about it is that it’s not vegan junk food, it’s healthy nutritious vegan food. They also have a delicious vegan dark chocolate cake!

Travelling with Veg Voyages and our group was hosted by the Utpala Cafe. We had a lunch meal and it was outside seating. We were served a number of different vegan dishes and everything tasted wonderful and the staff were very welcoming.

Went there every single day when staying near the Stupa. Vegan food and drinks are very delicious. We literally tried all of them and loved every one of them. Could hardly find another restaurant in town that's as welcoming and cozy as this.

Utpala Cafe has to be one of the most peaceful places in Kathmandu. owned by Monasteries, it's a lovely spot to have a leisurely meal, snack, or non alcoholic drink while contemplating compassion .

I particularly appreciate the fresh juices and Friday BBQ from5 -8 pm having unlimited verity of choices of shiitake mushroom , broccoli, different types of vegetable skewers.
Everyone is welcomed generously in Nepali hospitality style , and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outside in the garden. having peaceful environment with ample space even to sit in grass field. Having beautiful flower around.

Being veg not an easy task to find right place n worried about contamination of meat but found this place pure veg n provides option for vegan and gluten free even in their buffet. Menu is simple and food is cooked with heart and has good standard. Haven for veggies
