Smartish but friendly omni bistro with vegan options - Edit
There were two of us and we ordered virtually everything marked vegan or potentially vegan on the menu - two mains (a tagine with couscous and a bruschetta), two sides (chips and ratatouille) and two puddings (a crumble and a "cookie dough" bake).
Read moreThis sounds greedy but as it's "small plates" it amounted to an average-size meal. If we'd wanted more we could have had some olives and another form of potatoes, or doubled up on some things. Still, it seemed quite a reasonable selection for an omni place. Everything looked good and the flavours were varied.
The cost was modest by London standards although it's a fairly trendy-looking (industrial chic?) place. Everyone was friendly and we were made to feel welcome despite being vegan, old and southern :-)
Pros: Good vegan selection for an omni place, Welcoming, Fairly inexpensive
Cons: Omni

Great food, multiple vegan options - Edit
Have been here many times. The menu changes regularly but always multiple vegan mains, sides and desserts (it's a 'small plate' restaurant so you order a selection).
Read more'Wing it Wednesday' that runs through winter has Cauli wings as an option which are 10/10.
Highly recommend, just make sure you book as it is often full.

Top coffee - Edit
Only came in for coffee which was best in Kirkwall so far. Evening tapas menu looks great, 2 vegan options and 2 vegan desserts.

Great find in Kirkwall - Edit
A café bar that has several vegan options on their main menu of small plates (they recommend 2 to 3 per person) and all their sides are vegan.
Read moreI tried the tapenade with crisp bread which was lovely, and the gaspacho was delicious!
Admittedly the roasted courgette linguine dish was average, I didn't notice any courgette. The sumac skin on chips were very tasty and well cooked - although I couldn't taste nor see the sumac.
I didn't have dessert, but I'm pretty sure they had at least one vegan.
They also do great cocktails: I had the bloody Mary (ask to have it without the Worcestershire sauce) and the margarita.
It's all in a nice venue. I definitely recommend the place!
Pros: The gaspacho , The cocktails, Nice modern venue
Cons: The toilets didn't have paper , On the pricey side for the area

Good well labelled vegan options. Portions are slightly small but still filling. Desserts are the highlight!!
