Amazing tamales

Delicious vegan tamales! Spouse ordered the quinoa fried avocado he loved them. Avoid the aioli sauce to keep vegan.

Amazing Tamale

Had the vegan tamale dinner . Very delicious. All four of us had vegan entree and each one was amazing. They have a good selection of vegan , vegatarian and gluten free options. Outside dining space as well. Serves was also great.

Terrific creative menu

Food was fresh & delicious with vegan/vegetarian options. Staff was extremely helpful in our selections… Roasted Bflo cauliflower was delicious & they provided a vegan aioli sauce. Asian Jackfruit bowl was amazing- BBQ jackfruit over quinoa! Yum! Kale wrap was very good.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Reasonable priced, Organic & freshly made

Fine if eating with picky omnivores

I ate here once for breakfast years ago. Clearly, I didn’t feel the need to go back. But, when I had picky meat eating family members in town, we gave it another shot for dinner. It is very small and was mostly empty on a Thursday night. The food was fine, not amazing, but fine. Be careful to ask about condiments. The cauliflower appetizer is marked as vegan, but came out with conventional ranch. I had to ask. So, then I felt like I needed to ask about everything else that came with menu items marked as vegan.

Pros: Labels vegan menu options , Several vegan options

Cons: Mediocre food, Vegan items come with non vegan sauces, ask

Delicious vegan options at an adorable place

The buffalo cauliflower is tasty; it’s different from other places I’ve tried. It’s not fried. But still wonderful. It has a bit of spice, but not too much. Be aware : the menu labels the dish vegan, but it comes with ranch dressing on the side. That’s the only non-vegan part.
The falafel is delicious.
I had an espresso martini (first one I’ve tried). Also delicious.
Our server, PJ, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
Recommend this place.

Vegan Options!

The place was recommended by our hotel. Vegan options were well marked and the waitress helped identify more. The food was great as well as the service! We shared summer rolls, Fried avocado w/quinoa and I enjoyed Kale Wrap.

Pros: Good food and service

Tasty Tryst Cafe

Tryst Cafe is easily accessible as it’s right off of 101, but I’ll admit that it’s slightly hidden as it’s in a strip mall across from the Desert Ridge Shopping Center. Their goal is to serve tasty locally and organically sourced foods. In addition they have several vegan friendly options on their menu.

When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale, yet relaxed atmosphere. With the ability to sit at the bar, sit inside at a table, or even outside, you have multiple options to choose from.

Per their website wine and beer tasting is available along with a daily happy hour. In addition, live in-house entertainment is provided on Monday nights. I could definitely see myself chilling out on a Monday night, eating some food and listening to relaxing music in an atmosphere found at Tryst.

Having conversed with Tryst Cafe on Twitter I knew exactly what my vegan options were and decided on the Hummus Trio, Desert Ridge Spring Rolls, and GTs Kombucha tea.

ach portion was beyond tasty. If you like hummus, you’ll love the trio option. As for the rolls, I’ve never had anything like it but REALLY like them. With the mango they had a slight sweetness but the dipping sauce provided a tiny kick that was complimenting to the rolls.

With prices ranging between $6.25-$10 for lunch I found it was affordable and worth the price for the portions we received.
