Trader Joe's

Trader Joes is nostalgic to my early collegehood days being right next door in Chicago. They have many vegan options, and if your confused, go on the website to see the complete list of vegan offerings! Happy Vegging out

They not only have several vegan items. They make it extremely easy. In big bold letters on the back of every product they sell that is vegan will clearly say "VEGAN" if it doesnt, its not. That simple. They do have cereals and hummus that surprising are not, but with the lable system, its easy to know wether or not it qualifies with out havong to look up tricky hard to pronounce words.

Almost nothing vegan.. even things like cereal and crackers have animal products added. Most of the produce is packed in hard plastic. Just what we need, more plastic.

I visited the Hillsboro branch of Trader Joe's today and was disappointed by the paucity of vegan/vegetarian offerings. It probably is an excellent shopping destination for non-vegetarians, but for vegans and vegetarians, it is a poor choice. Perhaps in other branches of Trader Joe's there may be more for us vegans and vegetarians, but such is not the case with the Hillsboro branch.
