Vegan bakery - Edit
Vegan or not this place is delicious!! Extraordinary flavor and assortment. Both sweet and savory options. Prepare to overeat! Not used to this many options as a vegan, very refreshing. No place to sit but there’s a nice terrace in front.

Be prepared to stock up - Edit
I would loved to have bought more, but alas I have no freezer. I took a sandwich for later and a donut. The donut was a bit oily but still yummy and the sando was great.

Found this little gem hidden away on the second floor of the reload mall. I ordered an almond croissant which was sensational. Everything looked amazing and if I hadn’t just had lunch I would have eaten everything!

Delicious, I tried this bakery at least 3 times so far, they always have new stuffs coming, so, it’s worth to check once in a while and see what’s new. The carrot cake and muffin were amazing. Definitely a must go for everyone even more if you are vegan.

Delicious donuts - Edit
I arrived pretty early in the morning hoping to get a vegan curry pan but it seems that's not an early morning option at either branch. We got some donuts to take away and they were delicious.
Read moreI got the donut holes covered with kinako. I thought this worked really well in places of sugar, the donuts were still sweet but now with a bit of a roasted nutty taste on top of it.
My partner got a chocolate cookie donut. It was a bit crispier around the edges and denser than a regular donut and she loved it.

Oh how I love both universal bakes locations. This one was super close to our hotel, which meant having fresh and delicious pastries basically everyday.

GOAT bakery!! - Edit
I used to hate bread before going vegetarian (because I just couldn't stand the taste of Japanese 惣菜パン) but this place has amazing bread which I've never tasted in my life. It's a solid 5/5, but the drinks are a bit pricey, so be careful if you're planning to dine in.

Worth travelling to - Edit
I was unsure if I would be able to justify going to UB2 as it initially appeared somewhat out of my way. I am SO glad that I decided to travel further than I had once intended. Both the sweet and savoury baked goods were fantastic.

The best bakery in Tokyo - Edit
Just amazing! In our opinion, this has to be the best place for baked goodies in Tokyo. We came by in the morning for some great coffee and got a big bag with different baked goods. They have mostly sweet options but if you are lucky, you might be able to get a slice of their amazing vegan pizza as well. Be sure to stop by early in the day, as they are quite famous and are likely to be sold out at some point in the afternoon. Also, you have to try their almond donut, this was probably the best item that we have tried.

One of the best vegan bakeries anywhere - Edit
Shimokitazawa-neighbourhood bakery on 2nd floor of modern building with a variety of restaurants and shops. The quality of the baking is excellent. Breads, many varieties doughnuts, and other yummy baked goods. Also serves hot and cold drinks with oat milk or soy milk. Many items also gluten free. The Berry Choco Crumble is highly recommended. Everything here will make you taste buds sing.
