Read moreFood wise, I’m a big fan of their “chicken of the woods” nuggets (seasonal, made from a particular mushroom) and the accompanying cocktail sauce - sooo delicious! Also, the Schnitzel and the salmon are awesome and the red beet tartare with an “egg” yolk (made from a yellow cocktail tomato) is great!

Such a great restaurants! I love that they switch up their menu quite often and every time you can find new delicious meals on there. It always tastes really fresh and homemade. The quality of the food seems just great! Would really recommend to try this restaurant out. The only downside is that the portions could be a bit bigger.

We went there without expectations but we will definitely go again. We hat the Blinis as a starter and they were very good. Than we had the burger and the Wiener Schnitzel as the main. We are both vegan for a few years but have never eaten that authentic mushroom or seitan as meat alternatives. It was amazing. As a dessert we had a pumpkin spice cake which was a great finish of a very good meal.

Good locarion, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but most of all amazing food. There are some traditional Austrian dishes, but also more experimental things. Everything we tried (Wiener schnitzel, a dish called "Umami", and the Wiener eiskaffee) was great. Much better than other vegan restaurants with traditional Austrian food we tried (i.e. Velani).

Read moreThe menu looked wonderful and there were plenty of things that caught the eye and as this a special occasion I decided to go all out.
To start, I ordered the charcuterie board and the cheese plate. On paper they both promised a lot, but in reality they failed to deliver as they were poor imitations of what they were trying to be. The best element of either was the seitan kebab.
For the main course I ordered the schnitzel which is the only things that stopped this review from being two stars. It was quite the tasty dish, well cooked and fresh. The accompanying potato salad was packed with garlic and it was a winning combo.
Dessert is where proceeding once again dropped off. While the pumpkin pie was satisfactory (the crust was a little dry), the two scoops of ice cream (the cornflakes and the black sesame) were meagre in size, lacking in real flavour and very icy, certainly not worth the extortionate price they were.
Overall, I wouldn’t look to return, not good enough for the prices charged, especially given the competition in the city.

Our icecream scooper is the usual size in Vienna, making about 70-75 gramm per scoop. The icecream sorts are also loved by many of our customers, and we get especially for the black sesame and cornflakes but also for the other types, very positive feedback from our regular customers as well as tourists. Indeed on holidays we encountered icecream stands where they scoop 150-180 g per scoop, so internationally there is a wide range apparently of what is considered as a "normal" size.
The cheese platter and some of the products on our cold cuts platter typically contains various vegan cheeses and meat cutlets from small manifacturers from various parts of Europe. We sample regularly new producers, have a camembert made from cauliflower, blue cheese with the typical roquefort fermentation cultures and so on. We try to give our visitors the opportunity to sample whats available on the market, what's new, coming from sustainable productions, to show that things are possible vegan too. Of course we cannot provide better than what the market can do - besides not taking products shipping from overseas with a high CO2 footprint. We are always happy and open for recommendations when something new comes to the market, a manufacturer updates their sustainability, their taste or what they produce, in the field of vegan cheeses and meats, so don't hesitate to recommend alternatives we should instead introduce or add on our selection!

Ein super schönes Restaurant in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Wenig fußläufiger Verkehr im Außensitzbereich und eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr in einem Restaurant so leckeres Essen gegessen. Die Größe der Speisen war optimal (die Vorspeisen waren genau richtig zum teilen) und die saisonalen Angebote haben mich begeistert. Die Preise der Gerichte waren vollkommen in Ordnung und meiner Meinung nach waren sie es absolut wert. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Sie waren bei uns an einem Tag wo unsere Geschirrspüler kaputt war und auf Reparaturdienst gewarten haben, gleichzeitig eine grossveranstaltung für die Pride Parade organisert war und durchgehend volles Restaurant war. Diese wurde von unsere Serviceteam auch bei jeden Tisch zusätzlich kommuniziert, das wir aus Technische Gründen ausnahmsweise auf Pappteller arbeiten müssen. Wir möchten uns enschuldigen, wenn dies nicht laut und klar genug kommuniziert war, oder überhört haben in die stark belegte Gastgarten.

Since I have a food allergies, it is valuable for me to be able to ask questions. They could not have been more helpful.
I had the cream of asparagus soup and the umami dish. My husband ordered a cheesy dumpling soup and a caesar salad.
Both soups were very good. The caesar salad was a green salad with a very delicious creamy dressing that was well mixed into the mixed greens.
The umami dish consisted of mostly mashed potatoes, with some brown gravy, one shitake mushroom, some carrot slices, two beet slices, a few slices of yellow squash, and a couple of slices of something that we think might have been a parsnip. It was stopped by three vegan meatballs. I ordered the gluten-free version because that one does not contain yeast. The meatballs tasted a little doughy, and they had a sweet smoky flavor.
It might have been nice to have a little more gravy, but that is a personal preference. It was a lot of mashed potatoes. It was good.

Read moreEs tut uns leid zu hören, das es euch nicht gefallen hat. Die meiste Gäste finden unsere Portionsgrösse eher zu gross als zu klein, mit Hauptspeisen rund um 450g, halbes kilo. Nichtdesdotrotz, wenn etwas zu klein anfällt oder nicht ausreicht, da wo Menschen arbeiten, passieren trotzdem Fehler, und versehentlich eine kleine Portion serviert bekommen habt, sag unsere Serviceteam gerne Bescheid und sie sorgen für eine Nachschlag gerne für euch.
Bezüglich unsere Restaurantgrösse, wir haben etwa 40 Sitzplätze, und unsere Kommunikation geben wir auch regelmässig bekannt das wir nicht ein fine-dining Restaurant sind, sondern ein Bodenständige Restaurant mit Wohlfühlküche, ein Restaurantbetrieb mit Service auf Augenhöhe und unser Menü konzentriert hauptsächlich auf Comfort Food mit zusätzliche Saisonale Spezialitäten, Raritäten, je nach Saison und Verfügbarkeit. Wenn auf Instagram das Eindruck entsteht, von andere Kund_innen die schöne Fotos zB von unsere wünderschöne und beliebte Wandmalerei oder Gastgarten machen, und damit das Gefühl bekommt, das wir 100 oder mehr Sitzplätze haben, oder fine dining anbieten mit Nobel und gehobene Preisen für seltene spezielle Anlässe oder für eine Exklusive Publikum geschnitten, möchten wir für die Entschuldigen. Since 2023 September we have a new system for payment reduction called Sospeso, so that each according to their income and possibilities can pay, while others donate in a solidarity pot so to speak, who can afford more. We introduced this opportunity as the inflation for our costs - as well as everywhere - rose faster than usual, and obviously the inflation and financial crises in these times affect people differently. At the same time we don't want to have indecent and inproper conversations with our farmers, deliverers, winemakers etc, and our workers, to push their prices inappropriately down, which at the end essentially would end up having the harvest helpers and the smallest workers etc underpaid and overworked.
As a result, those of our visitors who can afford more, contribute more into this solidarity pot, and those with a smaller budget can use the Sospeso for partial or full payment to cover a part of their bill or the entire one, as needed. The entire concept is described both in english and german in our menu in detail. Feel free to use it whenever you need it, and encourage others to do the same!

Wirklich gute Küche! Wirkt (und ist wahrscheinlich auch) alles selbstgemacht! Coole Idee mit dem Solidaritätspot. Service war bei beiden Besuchen freundlich, jedoch hätte ich mir bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit gewunschen (ist natürlich extrem subjektiv: manche Menschen genießen es, weniger vom Servicepersonal beachtet/gefragt zu werden).
