Tasty Buddhist restaurant - Edit
Happy cow is listing this restaurant as closed, but I was there in December 2023 and it was very much open. Food is tasty and very inexpensive. The workers did not speak English and there was no English menu, but the workers asked if anyone dining spoke English. A young woman volunteered to help us order. There is a section of prepared food in the front of the restaurant, and they can also make food to order in the back of the restaurant. We ordered a plate of different varieties of bean curd that was pre-prepared. We ordered some cheung fun to be freshly prepared. We didn’t know the prices of what we were ordering, and we were stunned at how inexpensive the bill was at the end. I believe the restaurant is cash only.

Good takeaway counter - Edit
I was in the area for a fancy (but not veg-friendly) banquet, so I stopped by the Tin Chi takeaway counter before my event. I got a huge box of bbq mock pork and curry beancurd skin. I was amazed to find out the cost was only 20 HKD, because the box was filled to the brim with food. I also bought a fu pei guen (beancurd skin roll). The food was all delicious, plus it was a fantastic value.

Tin Chi Vegetarian Food, Hong Kong - Edit
At time of writing the name of the restaurant at this address listed on the index at the shopping mall is Sin Yuen Vegetarian. I am told that is incorrect and that the translation of the name is Tin Chi Vegetarian Food.
Read moreThis is a restaurant of around 45 seats. There was a shift change in staff when I was there. The 1st guy spoke English. The second guy's English (nice as he was) was the same regrettable standard as my Cantonese. The menu is in Chinese. This was no issue though as I was having dim sum. The dim sum counter is at the front of restaurant doubling as a take away counter. It was easy enough to order by pointing.
Its not a 100% vegan eatery.
