Lovely find - Edit
Definitely worth a visit when in Waiheke. I had a couple of salads and a faux-chicken, sun dried tomato, and mushroom roll. All delicious and a super chill vibe inside. Really nice to have some vegetables rather than the typical junk food vegan options.

Awesome Vegan on Waiheke - Edit
Spent a week on Waiheke Island and went out of our way to eat here numerous times. Vegan lasagna was awesome! Their daily salads were very well done - couldn’t get enough of their potato salad. Vegan mushroom arancini - so happy we tried them (twice). And their quinoa polenta bake was outstanding! And their desserts are to die for!!! Lovely place and very friendly staff.

Don't delay go there now! - Edit
I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the restrictions on Non-Veg establishments.
Read moreOkay so I had the chilli (which is incredible) with cracker type things (that come with it). Then there were the various desserts..
The chilli is a must have and so is the award winning lemon meringue thingy. Soooo yummy and we'll worth the trip to Weihiki. Seriously! Go and eat all the vegan goodness that they have to offer!
Oh and they have Hot Chocolate without the milk solids in the powder (rare find in Auckland).
They also stock various frozen faux meats (garden etc), refrigerated cheeses (angel cheese and bio cheese) and a few other bits and pieces (gummies, dandies marsh mellows, twilight bars etc.).
Pros: Lots and lots of vegan options Wonderful place Wel
Cons: Not completely vegan

The Best Little Deli in Western Waiheke - Edit
I love people who give interesting names to things - its even better when interesting is matched by quality of service and goods provided. This place is Delicious with the big 'D'. Many visitors never get beyond Oneroa when visiting Waiheke but really you should jump on a bus, bike, hitch - whatever it takes to get you to Ostend. Timbuktu is on the main drag. I won't be doing you any favours introducing you to the vegan date caramel slice sprinkled with rose petals - you too will be come addicted like myself. Then there's the super generously portioned vegan lasagna and the scrummy stuffed vegan egg plant dish. Did I mention the chilli and the award winning "Vegan Structured Lemon Meringue Pie'. Very reasonably priced - big table out the back to sit around or takeaway. Run by a lovely group of people many whom are vegans themselves (I should add there are non vegan options as well as vegan deli items like the Bio and Angel Cheese range and a freezer full of vegan quick fixes for sale).
