The worst meal we had in 10 days around California

Avoid this place. After reading the previous review we decided to give it a try but really regretted it. There’s nothing vegan on the menu so we asked the chef if he could make us something vegan - big mistake. 30 mins later what arrived was two small bowls (one each) of couscous with a few pieces of vegetables scattered through, some garlic, too much salt and nothing else. Nothing. See the attached photo in all its glory. Then then had the gall to charge us $32 for each plate!
The most stingy, ungenerous, overpriced, over-salted “meal” I can remember.
Please save your money and go somewhere else!

Make Timber Cove Resort a stop if you're sightseeing in the area

Was in the area exploring Fort Ross and decided to stop by Timber Cove Resort for lunch. Seated outside sipping on a chilled Arnold Palmer overlooking the vast Pacific ocean. Discussed vegan options with staff and the chef created the smoked squash pappardelle and the asparagus mushroom risotto using seasonal ingredients. Blown away (as in not sure why these aren't on the regular menu). The risotto was good but the pappardelle was on another level. Best I've had. Beyond the food, staff was respectful and accommodating to my dietary restriction. After the meal, walk the grounds and check out the A-frame structure of the Lodge (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright-devotee Richard Clements, Jr.), The Expanding Universe obelisk by B. Bufano, and the many winding paths with its stunning views of the ocean.
